I really like these pistols. Apparently I celebrated my Irish heritage overly much last Saint Patrick's Day, and my muddled dream about ordering a bright pink pistol turned out to be actual reality. It was only $229 plus whatever for a CZ75 polymer compact clone from a reputable Turkish manufacturer, so I didn't feel too many regrets the next morning when I saw the email.

I took it to the range a couple of times and put around 100-150 rounds through it. I was impressed. The trigger and sights were very nice. I've always liked CZ75 ergos. It was very accurate for me. I didn't care about the color.

But then my LGS had a gorgeous 99% S&W 629 for sale, and mentioned a couple of my pistols that they would like to have in trade (including the SAR). I wanted that 44 magnum pretty bad, so I reluctantly let the SAR and several other inexpensive but good-quality pistols go. It ended up being a four-for-one trade, but I don't regret it at all. The 629 is a sweet, sweet shooter.

After a while I missed the SAR and saw a stainless one on sale for $249 plus whatever. I'm always willing to pay an extra $20 for stainless, so I ordered it. It seems every bit as good as the first one. The machining and polish on the barrel and ramp are particularly nice. I won't be able to go shoot it for a couple of weeks, but I'm expecting it to shoot just as well as the first one, which was excellent.

It came with box, papers, cleaning tools, and an extra magazine (they are 13 rounds). If anyone wanted or needed an inexpensive medium/small sized SA/DA polymer pistol, I would recommend them. It's a little larger than a Taurus G2, but the trigger is better, IMHO. I doubt that it will replace my Glock 26 as an OWB carry piece, but it might beat out my S&W 915. I will certainly shoot them side-by-side-by-side before I make that decision.

Nice looking pistol and great price .LGS here is having closeout sale on new Bersa TPR 9mm $249

I don't have any experience with those but everything I have read about them is positive. I run into a girl I used to dates now grown son from time to time. He uses one of the SAR pistols for his carry piece. He seems happy with it.

Man, I've been there! It was a bit on a Colt Gov't 380 and the confirmation email was a bit of a shock. I do love that pistol though.

Due to health and weather, I didn't get to take it out to the range until this morning. I put about 50 rounds through it.

There were no malfunctions with either magazine. The sights and ergos are very good.

The trigger pull was a little longer than I prefer, and was not quite as crisp as I like, but it was decent. It isn't too stiff or anything. I would rate it above average.

I shot it towards the end of my range trip and my hands were getting a bit shaky. It shot kind of low (probably my fault), but the group size was respectable.

Both this one and the one I previously owned seem like good solid pistols. I feel like they're a very good deal for the price.

The SAR is a great gun and at a very nice price. The trigger pull will smooth out with use and you will find it a reliable, dependable firearm. They used to be imported by EAA, but now SAR is starting up it's own distributorship. I'm not sure what that will mean for parts or service. Hopefully they will offer both with good customer service.
Enjoy your pistol.
