Hello, I was wondering if anyone near Naperville IL has an 1891 Argentine mouser bolt. I am buying an 1891 Argentine mouser but for some reason, it is sold without the bolt and I was wondering if someone can help me find one.
Just wondering where do I get one when I visit the shop? You might want to have the rifle inspected by a gunsmith before buying it. The bolt might have been removed as a safety factor. I've been there with a Carcano Italian and had to eat it.
Is it better to just buy one with the bolt then? Not a lot of good gunsmiths in northern Illinois , bolts usually need fitting for proper function. Find one and take the gun & bolt in for fitting. A bit of a drive for you but I've used https://g.co/kgs/xLC3H5 and the guy is solid, can't vouch for any other local smiths- I'd give him a call.

I would weigh the cost like @indy1919a4 said. If you save $300 getting one without a bolt, find a bolt, pay $100+ then pay a gunsmith $100+ and the travel, shipping and then hope you got a winner is a gamble. This is a horrible time to look for a gun , even junk is priced high. Be patient and watch the auction sites. Also hit the local shops, some guy may trade in some surplus rifles for an AR or other modern gun and sometimes they see no value in the older guns.Is it better to just buy one with the bolt then?
Hoosier Gun Works has straight handle bolts for $70.
as to whether they would even come close to headspacing, who knows

Under Military mausers Rifle ..near the bottom under " MAUSER COMPLETE BOLTS"Couldn't find the bolt on their website?
So i should just buy a whole rifle? I only looked at the one without the bolt because it was for 80 dollars.
