This is a personal best for us as a team, 20 hogs. The night started out slow, but once things got started, we were quite busy throughout the night. I think we might have managed a few more hogs, but after the last 5, it was 3:45 am and my partner let me know that he probably wanted to head home because he needed make it to work at a job he would like to keep. Hard to argue with that.

There is a bit of blood and such, as you might expect. We sliced open two large sows to count the bonus kills and found an additional 12 fetuses that won't be making it to the next generation.

There's a definite hog problem in Lee county where I hunt, but it doesn't seem like it's up to the level you guys are seeing. I realize you're checking several properties, but that's just (to me) an amazing amount of hogs. Good work, keep it up!

Can I come! I have night vision and safe! Hogs here in FL are not to the point that the farmers are just letting us hunters access!

Fantastic shooting and photography.. But My Bride watching over my shoulder asks.. So what to you do with 20 of these large critter bodies the next day. Again awesome photography and shooting

Thanks, y'all.

Indy, tell you gal pal16 were on properties where we can leave them lay. The coyotes and buzzards will take care of them very quickly. 4 were on a property where they had to be removed to a designated boneyard area. We split open the bellies on all of them to speed the process of returning the meat to nature.

I know what you mean. It has taken me several years to acquire properties and a lot of it was by word of mouth. Going door to door got me a couple, but also had about a 99% rejection rate, which it tough on the ego. The problem is that most landowners have already had people who "wanted to help them" with a hog problem and who did not actually help them.

We don’t cut the bellies open but do get the backstrap/loin because it’s a good hunk of meat that’s easy and clean to get.

Once the clean up crew shows up, they make short work of the rest.
