Reminds me of that Stainless Steel car that was in Back to the Future......expensive, no paint needed, neater than hell, but esoteric,,, a gone today flash in the pan. And it's not stainless or any other kind of steel.

Aluminum works just fine. It is also the most abundant metal on the planet. For the price, I think some people would expect something different in function or materials. But it's an aluminum turret press.

BTW, a pre-order is different from an order. The "pre" refers to the status of the thing you're ordering. You're buying something before the seller has finished designing it. It would be like ordering a roasted chicken at a restaurant and receiving fried chicken tenders because the menu, kitchen equipment, and "vision" (profit margin) changed from the time your order was placed. Or, the restaurant may go vegan only before you get your order. It may shut down completely before you get your food. All that has happened with preorders.

They shipped out 5200 pounds of them this week. Seems they can't make them fast enough for those that said "good luck selling that".

45 lbs per the listing, so 115 units if that shipping weight doesn't include packaging.

I think its cool but it would bother me having to loosen a bolt every time I moved the turret. Seems like you would have the same utility if it was made as a single stage with something like the Hornady Lock 'N Load bushings or Lee's die bushing system. I like the use of bearings and how solid the ram is. Pretty neat but I would have to have money to burn to get that particular offering. My Forster Coax will do just fine for the same stuff I would use the Zero for.

Ah, but are they going to be entrapped by the FBI?

I think these days are pretty forgiving for reloading presses won't be very large market for them but they know that going in, why they cost so much.

I'll have to get one of those to mount in the trunk of my Bentley. That way I can have my butler load for me when I decide to go to the target range on my private island. Of course those rounds are using only the best available triple refined Vhitavouri powder with projectiles made from solid 24k gold with diamond ballistic tips. Of course the rifle is to die for with only the finest figured exotic hardwoods, elephant ivory, and a barrel struck from meteoric metals gathered in Antarctica by trained penguins.

Kind of silly IMHO.

I've never really been interested in turret presses, just not much trouble to screw dies in and out, and easy enough to get them back exactly the same each time.

I would like one of these Harrells presses, since my old little aluminum press doesn't have enough ram travel for Dasher, much less the GT or Creedmoor.

Bottom line is I don't need it though, and have things I do need to buy over something I just would like to have.

Probably so. I'm not in the target market. Maybe if I had 3 times the room, twice the daily income, and cared about what the Jones have. ;)

BTW......thanks for the 3D printer project you posted a long time ago. I resisted at first, but glad I was assimilated......I'm really having fun. Sure is easier to make things than just using my hammer and file and grinder. Would love to have welding skills, but at my age that's not going to be an option. My nephew has just made me some stuff I will post this week....lovin' it! It's a trade...I design his house, he welds me things.
