I was just looking at the Leupold rimfires on Midway. Not all models are available. 100 yards or shorter. 3x9 probably about right for power. Majority of my rifles have Vortex scopes.

Theres a few that I want to try. Tract, Clearidge,......Im missing one.

Leupolds always a solid option....OH burris timberline if you can find it......

My 457s wearing a Athlon Argos HMR in 2-12x42 in Talley rimfire rings. I got high talleys, but they are too tall, so just ordered and just got in the lows.

As you well know, CZ. seem to love certain ammo. If you weren’t 4,000 miles away I’d give you some of my Wolf Match Extra. I’ve got 2-3 bricks.

I haven’t shot anything other than Federal Auto Match or Wolf in a long time, but the Wolf is exceptional
The Wolf match is the same thing as SK Standard Plus.

I've had a 452 american and still have the 455 suppressor ready (16" taper barrel) both shot as well as the kidd barrel on my 10/22. Wolf match/sk shot the best for me 5 round s covered by a dime at 50yds was easy. Federal automatch was....uneven for me. In a group of 5, it would regularly cloverleaf 3 and the 2 would open the group up to nearly 2moa. I have better luck with cci standard velocity. And it stays subsonic!

I think if the name was in a different spot I'd feel better, maybe just above the action screw on the forend. This would help gun shops, the customer can see the name and avoid the no not that one the 2nd from the right, no my right thing lol.

LW I just ordered Talley tall rings for my new CZ 455 Lux, they were all I could find for my 3x9x40 and the reviews kept saying great for 40 and up scope bells. What is the difference in mount height between the low and high mounts?

Stay safe.

.56 high
.35 low

The lows are just barely too low to get the 42mm bell of my Athlon Argo HMR on my gun with the bull barrel installed.
A 40mm objective that isnt AO or unusually fat, should go on no problem.

Midway list CZ rings but dosent give a good description of height. I just ordered the 30mm since I decided to use one of my S-tacs on the 457, so ill measure that.

When the Wolf was made in Germany, it was good ammo. Now made in England by Eley and neither one of my CZ's, a 455 FS or a 457 two tone stubby American like any flavor of Eley. As for the rifle, I couldn't get past the rifle's name carved into the stock.

Bill
Guess I didn’t know Wolf ammo had been resourced to England. Haven’t seen any Wolf since I bought the last 3 cartons our local Cabela’s had. It’s been a while, time gets away quickly.

When the 457s were first released, my eyes fell upon the Royal, and I thought it was just awesome, dh1633pm. I don't recall seeing the writing on the stock until now...I could live with it, but the reason why I haven't persued the Royal is its lack of sights. A 1.5-5x20 sits atop high see-through Leupold rings on my 455 Trainer so I can still use the most excellent sights. 20210103_081218.jpg

Got my scope and rings. On the bottom of one of the Warne rings there is a set screw. Who knows it’s purpose? These are what I plan to use. I looked at the installation instructions and it is not mentioned. Nor on the YouTube videos.

Warne puts those on the 527 rings to engage the stop slot......might wanna check and make sure those ARE 11mm rings, not 16s

Wolf Match Target used to be the same as SK Standard Plus (by many accounts, people who had disassembled and compared the powder, bullet, and brass, possibly even stated by the manufacturer), but it's no longer made by SK/Laupa. It's some type of Eley now.
