Most fun with clothes on?

What’s your pick? What 22 is “the most fun you can have with your clothes on”?

This ones real simple. I brought home a new gun today and just to see the response I told my 8 yr old that people say it’s the most fun people can have with their clothes on. She cocked her head a bit and looked me dead in the eye and said “well swimming is REALLY fun, so it must be pretty awesome”. Gotta love the innocence of kids.

So... question speaks for itself.

Lol. Ruger 10/22 will always be my favorite .22lr. (My trusty 10/22 carbine) lotsa rounds and love through this one... IMG_20200101_184636.jpg But lever action .22lr are fun too, don't have one but love shooting them. Single Six probably 3rd

Yeah, they are all really high up on the list. I have had probably a dozen 10/22 and I always slap a cheap scope on them, zero it, and have a field day at the range with it until somebody buys it from me for more than I have in it. I can never hang onto one for very long. Same with marlin 60 but I have managed to hang onto a few of those.

I've been through a good few 10/22's. Wish I'd kept them all, couple of em I paid $100 for. Should have kept em. But I kept my all weather 10/22 and that 10/22 will always be with me.

I picked up a CZ Super Match a couple of years ago and followed that up with a CZ 457 Varmint. Shooting those in the Rimfire Central's CZ 25 yard matches. Open sight and scoped respectively.

For reliable feeding, and 10 rounds of fun- I vote Ruger MK. Not as accurate as some of my revolvers, but never fails to put a smile on my face.

Honorable mention to the Marlin 60.

I find loading/unloading the single actions every 6 shots more tedious than fun- especially when you end up whacking the cylinder face repeatedly with the ejector rod.......

Only .22 rifle I have is a Henry Golden Boy (though in .22 mag).

So that. Consequently, there's a reason it's my only .22 as I've never much enjoyed .22 plinking.

But thinking on it, I should probably pick one up for my boy and girl (2 and 4) to learn on, though I'm pretty sure my father in law has a couple squirreled away for them.

A few more options have been added. I keep thinking of ridiculously fun 22s. And a couple more are rattling around now. I doubt many folks think that a H&R sportsman 999 is anywhere close to the top of the list... but it’s a whole lot of fun. The cheap full sized 1911 22s that were so popular a few years ago are a lot of fun too if you can keep them going. I never could.

I have to go with a 10/22...have had mine for 50 years..it's still as fun to shoot today as it was 50 years ago.

I voted for the 10/22, but honestly the one that I've used that phrase with the most is my Colt (Umarex) Gold Cup 22 1911 with the suppressor on it. I always say, it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on. If you're naked, then you may burn the "naughty" bits....

But, next to the suppressed pistol, the 10/22 is the best. But then again, 2 of my 10/22s are also suppressed. So...

I voted Henry 22. Love my Golden Boy. My SA22 is also fun. I'm surprised that a CMMG conversion kit was not an option.

Much as I like my 10/22, my fave is a CZ 452 American shooting subsonics through a Silencerco Sparrow. It’s about as quiet as you can get. I smile every time I shoot it.
