Finally got 5lbs of Clean Shot powder today. Branded Shooters World. I have never used this powder before but it seems to have good reviews. I can't find a lot of load data for it. Just whats on the manual download. I guess its new enough it hasn't made it in any of the big name reloading manuals.

Its supposed to burn like Bullseye, 231, Titegroup and Accurate #2 and other fast powders. Thats what I wanted. I would have also bought some Ultimate Pistol but they were out of stock at the time of the order. But I'm glad to get what I got.

What are you planning to load up? .45ACP, 9mm, .38Spl and .32S&W Long ought to be good platforms if you're after Bullseye-type loads for accuracy at shorter ranges. BTW: It's a shotgun/pistol powder like Red Dot and Green Dot so Red Dot loading data ought to be close, too IF you can't find published Clean Shot data.

I printed off the 38/357 and 9mm data from Shooters World. They don't show 32 data but I bet I can come up with a start load for the 32s and I have a chronograph so making safe loads shouldn't be a problem. I don't have a 45.

And now thanks to Jack B in post #11 we have 32 long data. Thanks Jack.

.38Spl, .357Magnum, .32S&W Long and 9mm. What more could you wish for?! Seems like you've got some fun times ahead. :)

It is amazing that everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.

Our LGS hasn't seen a primer in months and the powder selection is all oddball pistol and shotshell powders.

I suppose some folks forget this life is just the practice run. ;)

One of the shops I frequent had cases of HS6 from the previous owner's inventory the new owners couldn't get rid of at a loss. Too few reloaders in the area willing to pay overhead costs and spend 10-cents more than mail order. I bought several pounds - more than I "will ever need" at the time - then this plandemic hit and he got cleaned out in one weekend. Good for him in a way but now he's got people asking when he'll stock more.

We all need to remember to support the locals, even if it costs a few cents more. I won't explain because if you don't already, you won't ever.

I have also heard it's the same as AA#2. Supposed to be one of the most clean burning powders you can get and a little goes a long way.
Good score.....

Great idea ! Throw away the manuals and scales, boys! All we need is Tarot cards and a crystal ball.

I can't image a quicker way to get dead.
It depends on what era Accurate Arms No.2 powder load data is used. My correspondence with Karen Gerard at Shooters World revealed that prior to the purchase of Accurate Arms by Western Powders circa 2004, Lovex / Explosia supplied the Accurate Arms brand Powders, same as Lovex / Explosia currently supplies the Shooters World powders. Here's the Shooters World web page where anyone can ask about this.

There's also cross reference information between Shooters World powders and Lovex pwders. Shooters World Clean Shot = Lovex D032.

Lovex D032 = pre-2004 Accurate Arms No. 2

Here's Accurate Arms load data with a publication date of 2000.

This doesn't require, or even suggest, throwing any manuals away for me anyway. As always YMMV, etc.

The best saying I have ever read went like this:

You are a ghost driving a meat covered skeleton made from stardust riding on a rock floating through space, fear nothing.

I would love a Tee-Shirt with that written on it. It pretty much sums up my view of life.

I hope that me finding and getting some powder means its starting to maybe get better for all the rest of you folks.

I found the Tee-Shirt.

:D

Get the tee shirt. If I see someone wondering around in one, I'll stop them and ask, "Do you use Lovex powders?"

The T-Shirt is on order now and should be delivered by the 30th of this month.
Woot! LOL!!! :)

While other people are buying, I'm struggling with just how and when to start selling again. I don't want to sell cheap but I also don't want to be part of gouging. And shipping! Oy, the shipping! It's a hassle and costly.

I need to find an 8 year old to take pictures of my collectibles I want to sell so I can post them. My photography skills stink. :(

I just sold 426 380 rounds on GB. The buyer lives close and wants to pick them up directly from me today. I started the auction at .01 and just let the buyers set the final price. I sold them for $281.00. I had around $120.00 in the ammo. I no longer have a 380 so no need for the ammo. I didn't want to be accused of being a price gouger. The buyer is happy to find 380 for way less that the online price of a buck a round and I'm happy to make a small profit. He got the ammo for .66 cents a round.

My shipping cost for guns has doubled. I don't know if it is because of the insurance or what. Granted, most were high dollar guns and I do insure them to the hilt.
