Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Impulse bought a Heritage Rough Rider yesterday. LGS seemed real happy to sell a gun that they had no ammo for.

Fortunately, I enough .22LR so it wasn't an issue, but I feel sorry for first time buyers.

Hi...
Bought a new Taylor's 1873 lever action rifle in.357Magnum at a gun shop in St. Mary's, Pa. Drove 200 miles one way to buy it...no shop nearby had one or could order one.
Nice case colored frame and good wood to metal fit.

Now...if it would only warm up enough to take it out and break it in. 22°F and windy here in southcentral Pennsylvania this morning. Too cold in my opinion to go shooting. Warmer weather will be here soon enough.

I now have acquired lever actions in .45Cilt, .44Magbum and .357Magnum. I would really like to see Ruger come out with a Marlin lever action in .41Magnum.

Im 160 miles from St Marys. Had too look it up lol. One day i plan on making a trip out to Rural King. I think they are opening one in state collage.

Hi...
Made for a pretty good road trip yesterday driving from York County in southcentral Pennsylvania up to St.Mary's in Elk County, Pennsylvania.
I spent a lot of time in that area over the years hunting deer and black bear and hiking.

My son and I visited several gun shops on the way home in Bellefonte, Pa. None that I would recommend or even visit again.

The shop I bought my rifle at is Elk County Arms. Nice shop, decent inventory considering the current state of the firearms business and very helpful clerk's staffing the store.
I highly recommend the shop...this is not the first time my son and I have purchased firearms there. Well worth the travel time and expense.

Hi...
My son and I do a gun shop tour every week or two.
Usually make s day of it. Eat breakfast out, hit a gun shop, drive an hour or so to another couple of shops, stop for lunch around 1:00PM and then try to visit another shop or two before cruising back home.

Generally stop at our supplier for some commercial cast coated bullets and search for primers and gunpowder.
Buy a gun every month or so depending on what we stumble across.

2 boxes of PPU. 7.5 French
Box of 12ga slugs
1 used mecgar 226 magazine
And a half used box of Federal .40 fmj

Finally a decent Armslist score....guy in another state had a couple 17 round magazines for a Ruger SR9 he was selling, and, for the price, it was more than worth it to text him and buy through the mails. I've been on the hunt for more mags to fit my Ruger PC Carbine and PC Charger that are still compatible with my SR9c. Got these well below current online pricing.
