I have a 365 that I carry most of the time. I also have a CZ PCR. I do not have a 365XL....yet.

I have a Holoson 507k in route. I do not know yet what I want to put it on. If the CZ, I have to send off and get it milled. I could buy an XL for the slide and mount it on that. Or send the 365 off and have it milled, which by the way I have an extra one of those. So that would not affect my carry gun.

Has anyone mounted a DOT on a standard 365? Would I be better to send the CZ off and have mailed? As of now, I am not planning on using this as a carry gun. But with my old eyes, that idea may end up coming sooner than later.

There are aftermarket slides for the 365 that come milled for a red dot. Grey Ghost precision makes one.

I'm wrestling with the same topic. I've never had a red dot but want one and I'm generally considering 3 options. I have a P365 and M2.0 compact that I very much like so I could have those slides milled (options 1 and 2). Option 3 is to buy a P365XL which would fall in size between the P365 and M2.0 compact. I kind of hate to spend the money on the XL when it's so close to the P365 but I do like the P365 and it's my primary EDC. I've been leaning towards either having my M2.0 compact slide milled or buying an XL as I like the idea of keeping the P365 in its current state.

I actually have a 2.0 Compact Optic Ready that I bought the other day. It is currently sitting on a shelf at Smith waiting for them to look at it and fix either the oversized barrel shroud or too small ejection port. Either way, when it locks in it is waaaay to tight. I have a 507C sitting here waiting on it to return. Also have a CZ SP-01 willed with a 507C on it. Wanting to go smaller than those other 2.

I have a Sig P365 and a P365 XL. I put a 507K X2 on the XL. I believe that it only is a matter of time before Sig produces a regular P365 with the optic cut out and then I will move the optic to the P365 or buy another optic. I probably would prefer the regular P365 with the optic.

Why do you think you would prefer the optic 365 over the XL?

Among those I know of who like the 365, everyone who has bought one loves the XL, including me.

I can’t say the same for red dots, I have the Sig Romeo Zero on an XL. Unless eyesight requires it or for competition, it seems a solution on search of a problem - the Sigs have excellent hi-viz sights as received.

On mini carry guns - I agree. I thought I might want a mini dot on my carry gun someday so I bought the optic ready Hellcat. I love my 507C green dot on my Q5 Match and G35...but on my carry gun...nah. Pointless.

The XL grip module is 40 bucks or something like that. takes a couple seconds (1 pin) to swap from 365 to XL and back again.

With age, it is becoming an eyesight issue. Going to pick up my new set of glasses this week to see if that helps.

I want the XL for the optic ready slide not for the grip module. Adding a $40 XL grip module to my 365 doesn't let me add the optic.

365 with xl frame is my EDC. I had RDS sights on a couple of pistols and for carry I prefer fiber optic. I love the xl frame on the 365 12 rounds +1

Go by the old prepper motto- 2 is 1, 1 is none, and get the XL.

I had a 365, couldn't hit anything with it, and sold it for what I had into it.

I don't have a 365 but have read good things about them.
A 9mm thread, not another 32 acp thread or even 25 ...

Wouldn’t using the sleeved Sig 12 round or the ProMag 12 in a regular p365 get exactly the same result? Plus the pistol is still usable with 10 rd mags and so be as small as possible when desired? Just curious.

I have both and like them equally, plus the P365 feels like a short barreled XL when the 12 rd mags are used.

XL frame uses the regular SIG 12 rounders I don't use the pro mags. The small grip frame I just have a hard time holding onto it even with mag extensions. The XL frame feels great! plus I go the flat trigger it's a cool little package with talon grips.

Had a 365, sold that turd real quick, got replaced with a PCR.

What makes it a turd? My son-in-law has one and loves it. He says it's easy to shoot and accurate so what's the drawback? I haven't shot it by the way so have no real experience. I did compare the trigger dry firing to a hellcat and a glock 43x and the 365 won that comparison.
