Hello! I'm in north eastern Tenneesse, I'm 50 yo and I've been handleing and shooting firearms from about age 5. I prefer handguns over long guns because I'm a hunter and not many people hunt big game with a handgun in my area.

Welcome taz! Pretty good bunch of guys here, and more than a few are handgun hunters. Though with recent events......some are just hunting handguns! I’ve been away from handgun hunting since 1990, but, am making a concerted effort to get back into the game!

Again.......Welcome! memtb

Howdy. Thanks for having me here. I'm a member over on castboolits but I have read here some. I like the caliber of folks and that it isn't politics oriented. Not that I don't vote for my gun rights every chance I get, I want to talk guns though.

Anyways I got to reading the marlin 39 club thread and I decided to join.

I load, and cast. I also really enjoy the history of loading and casting. I'm happy to teach these skills to others if there is anyone in my area (Cecilia Ky) that wants to learn.

I love all manner of guns. Leverguns and revolvers being my favorites. I have a winchester 94 in 30-30 and a marlin 39as that I've converted to half cock hammer. And a Ruger GP100 and a short barreled SBH.

Welcome to you, Bazoo. Lever guns are all sorts of fun and as you have noted, we like them. We are glad you found us and hope you find useful information here. It's a good group of people and we are grateful for what we have. Come on in and make yourself comfortable.

I found this site a few months ago and have been looking around various forums and thought I should introduce myself. I'm a retired millwright / machinist, I love to hunt and target shoot. last summer
I started to drill with my concealed carry gun, drawing from concealed on the fly is harder than it looks. Enough for now. glad to be here.
regards
CM

Welcome aboard. Always great to see new members from my home state. Michiganders are of course, the coolest people in the world. Keep fighting the good fight back there.

I'm chippewa from the sault st Marie tribe in the UP. I've never been there and ain't an enrolled member yet, but that's my heritage.

I carry a 1911 SA milspec daily, or a GP100 occasionally.

I've been an enrolled member of the tribe for decades, and won pretty big at the Kewadin just last weekend. I carry a 1911 as well-maybe that's a thing with us natives.

Thanks for sharing. I looked into it and the rolls were closed a few years back. When they open again I'll enroll. I am 1/8th chippewa, and 1/6th Blackfeet/Cherokee on the other side. They we can't trace it on that side.

Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Tell us a little about who you are and what kind of gun stuff you're interested in!

Greetings All,

Older Fart here, been around a while in our hobby/lifestyle. Pretty much a fan of anyrhing reliable.

Hello, Keith. Welcome to our merry band! We are glad you got around to signing on. Our interests are pretty broad, and we enjoy sharing our experiences and discoveries. Many of us are older, but we have many new faces recently and are grateful that they put up with us old timers. It's a generally upbeat bunch, and we try to respect each other's unique perspectives. We hope you enjoy your time here.
