EAA Revolver Quality

They do have a business like look to them. We have a stocking dealer nearby and I've seen lots of the Windy revolvers. Are they as heavy as they look?

Yes, they are a few ounces heavier than the 2.25 “ Ruger SP 101.

EAA @ 28.8(?) and Ruger@ 25

The EAA is 28 ounces unloaded, and yeah, thank the heavens for those crane and yoke shims for that old Smith endshake???? lol, all good!

ontarget, where did you ever here me say they were better, or best???? you got it all wrong my friend, certainly a habbit. just defending the affordable! Good affordable! As for Taurus, well good luck.

<<<<< isn't a dumbass! Obviously Smiths are great revolvers. They have been for over a hundred years, I get it. Like I said, I'm a proud ownwer.
With that said, you won't catch me shooting 357's out of an 11 ounce, $1000.00 340 PD at the range. You may as well slam your shooting hand in your car door. However, you will find me shooting 100 rounds of 357 out of this 28 ounce $300.00 EAA.

Which is why I would never buy an 11 oz. 340 PD.
I would like to take a Windicator for a test drive, but if I'm spending 300 bucks, I'm looking for a used K frame. That is if prices ever get back to normal.

Thanks, they do look robust. Let us know what you think when you get it to the range.

There is no more normal my friend! And if you're looking for that used smith, you're right, the price won't be there. But make sure you get those endshake shims, lol. I got your back target.

Robust! Definitely, "the girl's thick", lmao!!!:D

Range report:

I was quite impressed with this “inferior” product. I shot 38 and 357. I was impressed that the 357’s were not hard on the hands at all. It was a first session for my Ruger Super Redhawk 10 mm as well. In fact recoil was noticeably much milder in the Windicator with 357’s than the SRH with “real” 10 mm loads, a shocker to me.

I was a bit disappointed in the Ruger; I thought it was going to tame those 10 mm loads to pussycat levels, but man, did I feel the punch. I shot many more rounds in the Windicator than the SRH.

My daughter, not a gun person, went with me and shot the Snubbie well. She had no recoil or accuracy issues.

Accuracy was better than expected, especially with those small, fixed craptacular sights. I was not able to put on paper because the available backstop hangers were destroyed.
But I was shooting steel 4 inch flippers no problem from 15 yards.

This was one of easiest revolvers that I have for double action shooting. I never learned to really shoot DA, but this gun will be a good trainer for me. And to add; I have many Colts and SW’s.

Now for the negative: the grips loosened up with a little wiggle just like the one in one of the videos previously posted. So I will need to remove them and install more washers.

Who knows if this gun will hold up over time, but so far I’m pleasantly impressed and feel that $294 was well spent.

For those who claim that 10 mm is only equal to 357, then this little snubbie WAY outshines the Ruger in taming recoil.

Love shooting mine also. Like I said, 357s feel like 38s. I did my home work though, and some pre-break in maintenance.
704 Tactical will give you the run down. Loctite the crane bolt, and insert some grip washers. 500 rounds, 50/50 on the 38s and 357s and not a budge anywhere. Actually quite surprised at the lock-up. And damn, look at it! Freakin' cool lookin' little banger!

BTW, put a red dot on that front sight. Actually pretty damn accurate!!! "Shoot to Thrill" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Can you hear the hush of the crowd?" That's cause they're thinkin' bout' ole' Windy! Have a good weekend my brothers!

Even next to that hand bazooka, it just looks down right dirty!!! lmao.... Homage to Bon Scott!!!!!

Windicator for $350

Korth for $3500

How much do you love yourself? How much will you love yourself in the morning?

(Think paid for “lady” and the fact that results are pretty much the same either way)

Interesting thread because I’m a fan of quality at a low price. @shockvalue68 I’m complementing your employer, EAA, BTW.

Funds will not be available for the GP100 that I want. I did a search on EAA revolvers and found very little. Supposedly German made, solid and inexpensive. Anybody have experience with these revolvers? I'm eyeing a 357 Magnum with a 4" barrel.
Before you spent any cent, take a long, hard look at Ruger Security Six, there are many of them on the market. Their durability is legendary, and for $300-400 you should be able to find a decent one:

Security Six, especially 6", IMO balances better than GP100 or S&W 586/686, almost like S&W 19/66, with strength on a par with first two.

Totally agree about the Six Series Ruger, much better than these EAA , why would you spend similar $ on an inferior product? Even used the Six Series Rugers are far better, if you can find them.

...which you can....

Or even a 38 Smith....for less! Than an EAA!

Hard pass on these EAA, hard pass!!

It is a hard pass. Because for the money, it's a great snub nose! Brand new. And doesn't everybody want to be the first to put rounds through their brand new gun? I know I always did.

For the money??? Absolutely no doubt the Ruger or the Smith is superior.

Look you're obviously totally in love with these revolvers, or have a financial interest in them.
Either way, "for the money" a used Six Series Ruger or a Smith and Wesson is a no brainer over your "loved" EAA.
No doubt about that. It would be ...."Shocking value" wise to think differently.

Like I've said in many posts, It's obvious to me, and other gun enthusiast, who makes the superior revolver. I've never argued that! Proud owner!
But, you're obviously a Smitholic, and or a Ruganeer! I get it, it's the name Man! So go ahead, and cheer these people on into getting a used endshaking smith, or a turned in ruger with a bad trigger and hammer. You're no brainer may be someone elses disappointment? Who knows Mr Terms??? I have always advocated for the affordable good product. You guys, "The smith and glock empire" steer people away from good, new, affordable guns, in favor of the used good ole' brand name product. Well, garsh darn it, I can't believe I actually bought a brand new snub nose 357 for 300 dollars? Gee wiz, the headache I've caused because I actually like shooting it better than my 686 plus! I should be ashamed of myself??? Or, good glob of glue Batman, My Mossberg Mc1 shoots better than my Sig 365??? Have pigs begun fly? Or, has hell truly frozen over???? LMMFAO at you guys! Put another 50 357s through ole' windy yesterday morning, and guess what??? Still not a damn issue. The world must really be coming to an end! "Hats off to the good, the bad, and the ugly"! Shoot on compadres, those are my "TERMS"...........

@shockvalue68 I do get it that you are a newer member here, and as I think I said before, welcome to our club.
If you do a bit of searching, and look back on some older threads I think you will find that the less expensive options get tons of love on THR. Lots of us love our cheap guns. Read some threads about Heritage Rough Riders, or Phoenix 22s, Charter Arms, Hell, even High Point carbines. They all get some love. (Yes I own them all.)
You just for some reason seem to take any criticism of EAA revolvers as a personal attack against you or your judgment.
That's not the case. Buy what you like, shoot what you like, and don't get bent when the rest of us do the same.
