These 230 grain .45 Auto bullets come up first in my search engine and appear to be available for purchase. https://www.precisiondelta.com/products/45-cal-230gr-fmj/

Supposedly "Made from a true copper jacket..." but the price is about half what I would expect of a true jacketed bullet, and more in line with what I would expect to pay for plated. Anyone have experience with these things?

I don't know where you've been buying bullets for twice the price of the PDs that you linked to, but they are the same price I paid for them last year. They are true FMJ, not plated. Good bullets.

Look around for brand name .45 fmj (Hornady, Winchester, etc) from places like Midway and Academy and you will find that $300 per thousand is pretty normal.

You didn't say it was half of what you would expect to pay for "brand name" bullets. That price differential has always been there. But, thanks, you just reminded me why I don't buy brand name pistol bullets. ;)

they had 200gn XTP HP at Sportsman for $31! that a good average price

Delta Precision makes good stuff. I've bought a lot of their 9mm HP. RMR is also excellent. Hornady and others are too expensive, at least just for going out and having fun. But sometimes RMR will have good deals on Hornady rifle bullets.

I've never shot their 45 bullets, but I LOVE their 124 grain FMJ 9mm bullets. As others said, they are a FMJ bullet, not plated.

The only reason I don't shoot more of them than I do is that I can often get the RMR bullets, which I like equally well for a bit cheaper price.
