Awsome website! I consider myself pretty good intermediate handloader. I am very fussy, and I should be right? I have been shooting Wild Bunch and load 200 grn RNFP lead over 4.3 grns of Bullseye. I resize to .451 and have yet to have a round not go into battery, and they clear my pistol well. I have 1500 Chey-Cast bullets with the super coat. Can I lightly lube these before I resize? I welcome any sage advice. Thanks Skidsteer1.

I've always considered Hi-Tek and PCing to be "soft jackets", but I'd run a few through the .451 sizing die and see how hard they are to push through. I doubt if you would damage any sizing dry. How much will you be sizing down?

Good to have you with us, Skidsteer1! :)

You will probably be fine resizing them dry.

Whenever I find myself having to slightly resize any bullets (lead, PC'd or jacketed) I will, at a minimum, use a Q-Tip with a light coating of lube to periodically do a quick wipe around the sizing portion of the die before continuing.

If I am knocking them down several thousandths, that is when I keep some lube on my bullet-manipulation fingers.

FWIW.
