A big MYPILLOW fan here also. I've had one for a couple of years now....
As for the weapon light, I have an olight valkyrie....very nice light. Highly recommended.
Nice, I just became aware of the fact that they make moccasin slippers and I'm itching to get a pair, big slipper guy here. When I get home from a hard day there is nothing like kicking off my clunky red wings and getting into some comfy moccasins. The new puppy terminated my favorite pair just this week so I'm gonna get some MyPillow brand slippers to try.

Nice spotlight too, my mom got me a nice spotlight as a gift but she had to borrow it back and I haven't seen it again, I'm not certain that I can use it in any hunting application though, I'm pretty sure VT is pretty strict with their "no illuminating wildlife" and are pretty heavy handed about it. Not sure if they still are but I was always told growing up that to a game warden, putting a light on it might as well be as bad as poaching it.....

I was just testing out this streamlight outdoors though in the pitch black, this thing can throw a beam and it's not even the HL version....

Grandad gave me ten bucks to fill my tank of gas (about 3 gallons, I found it funny, not being ungrateful) and a vest with a CC pocket.
I can remember (circa 1971) saying "5 bucks or fill it; whichever comes first" and getting a smart ass look from the attendant. It took (as I recall) about $3.85 to fill my dad's 1962 Plymouth Fury. It was almost empty and the fuel gauge didn't work - therefore the ' 5 bucks or fill it' before he drove it to work the next day. Gas was about $0.19 per gallon as I recall.....
Of course I was only making $0.90 per hour at the time at a part time after school job.

My dad has a Chevy Citation, his baby. I remember in.. 2004? I think, when I think OPEC did something with oil, I forget. He filled the tank and it was like 80$. Supreme only for his baby, Ziggy. Gas was almost 4$ a gallon for unleaded, so it was much more for supreme. Chevron only, no less.

My FIL always used Supreme thinking that it was "better" for his truck and then somebody told him after about 10 years of spending the extra for super premium that only vehicles with engines specifically tuned to take advantage of the premium gas were really seeing any advantage from it and that it was a waste. He gave a lil bit more detail than that and gave some specific examples of cars that actually benefited from the super gas but he was convincing and my FIL gave up on the super stuff.....

It's about his carburetor, and the additives that Chevron fuel has. I'm not gonna tell him otherwise, it's pointless.

I'm actually leaning toward the Trex 2pt because I've heard really good feedback on it even though at the end of the day it's a nylon strap, but the T rex comes in an awesome black multicam and is very similar to the BFG (currently out of stock for the black multicam pattern) but I believe their products and customer service are very solid and their products are made in the USA (except for the one time they accidentally got made in Mexico but the company cut ties with those particular partners and made it right with their customer base). I'm leaning toward the trex, let me know what you think of em if you end up with one.

ETA: I just looked at T rex Arms at their slings and they have a special going through the 31st of $10 off a sling kit which includes a Sling + x2 Magpul QD sling attachments.

definitely considering them and also the Warrior Poet Society sling. I like the fact that you can use it for multiple positions without swimming in and out of it, plus looking to possibly also support John Lovell in the process. I know they are more expensive, but are appealing to me.

A self-stirring electric novelty coffee cup (Yay! It actually works!) and a toothbrush. Well, a toothbrush that costs more than some of my shotguns so Santa may have had serious concerns with my dental hygiene... :)

Work Sharp knife sharpening kit, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Doing a Face Time with my son and his family in HI while spending the day with my daughter and her family and hearing all the laughter from both, couldn't ask for a better gift.
I'm awaiting what you think of the work sharp, I got a $50 gift card I may burn up trying one out.

Moccasin slippers.
From the 19 year old grand daughter. L.L Bean lambs wool lining, rubber sole for those step out side with the trash times! :)

On my recommendation she ordered it from Bass Pro with free to store shipping, so it may take a few days. They were the same price as the lowest elsewhere.

Figured they wouldn't get counterfeits and I can examine it to make sure it's not a previously opened repack.

Me too. My buddy just got the Work Sharp Angle Adjust version that sort of mimics the Wicked Edge system. I'm probably going to get one after he gives me his feedback. We have always wanted a wicked edge and thought about going halvsies on one because they are around $400 just to start, not including the stropping blocks, etc... The work sharp looks very intriguing indeed and alot more affordable.....

Have been using a Spyderco Sharpmaker for like 7 years and am ready to try something else...

Another Christmas with my Father in Law. He won't make another... he spent this one from his hospital bed, though at home. He most likely won't see 2022.

Spent 4 days prior to Christmas Day in a mountain lake cabin with my wife, daughters and a granddaughter. When it's over (FIL) I'll pick out a .45 handgun for Christmas.

Thats were my gift card is for, but I'll have to ship to home closest bp is in Bridgeport ct lol.

I gotta admit, I like supreme in carburetors. It seems to take longer to gum up carburetors in machinery that might sit for some time. Lawn equipment, motorcycles, etc.

Anywho . . .

Not much, as far as firearms. I guess my Christmas present came in July this year.

I did pick up a box of (spendy) Federal Punch in .22LR from the last show, so maybe that counts. I call them my "vampire bullets". They sure cost accordingly...

Spent the day with a great aunt who is up in years and a cousin who I hadn't seen in awhile. All in all not bad for today's crazy times. Hope everybody's Christmas was as good as it could be.
