What ammo have you bought 2022

Currently on pause. The only recent ammo related purchases have been new sets of dies and molds.

Shooting and hunting are my hobbies so I'm perfectly fine setting aside a little cash per paycheck. I usually got a case of 500 or 1000 rounds of something steel and misc boxes or whatever might happen to be on sale about every 6 weeks or so, with occasional reloading supplies slipped in here and there. Some of it gets used quickly, others accumulate for future use. When we run into a bad patch like this past year the money gets saved for whenever the world to get back to normal or folded into budget for a fishing or hunting trip.

My LGS keeps having decent prices on ammo, so I keep buying ammo from them. Typically only one or two boxes at a time, though, typically. And, it's all been 20 round packs of SD ammo.
So I have some SIG 9x19 JHP; some Win STHP in 45 acp; the last box was some 9x19 STHP.

I grab 20ga and 28ga when I see it at Walmart. Probably 4 boxes of 28ga and 6 boxes of 20ga so far this year.

Dont usually buy much factory ammo anymore. I have bought a bunch of bullets, powder, and some primers though.

I’ve bought nothing but reloading components this year with two exceptions. I added a couple new calibers & had a bit of a scavenger hunt for something to shoot as I waited for dies, brass, & bullets that were on order. First was a single box of American Eagle 25 ACP for a Colt Vest Pocket Pistol that was gifted to the Mrs-found at a small Ma & Pa shop for $24. Second was a box of 240gr 44Mag JSP’s for a Desert Eagle I picked up & still waiting for brass to reload with. Paid $60 for the box & it reminds me why I reload for all of my calibers.

Well, took a trip to Bass Pro today just to see what they had and actually saw several boxes (maybe 8) of Herters Brand 30-30 Win in 150 gr soft point. $23.95 a box (20). Picked up two boxes and then decided to only buy one box since I have some on the way.

Also bought a box of CCI magnum LPP's (1000) for $79.95.

I stop into the LGS occasionally to see how things are with reloading components and equipment. And to see if they have any 357 SIG or 10mm SD ammo.
I ended up buying some Federal Punch 22LR and Winchester Silvertip 22LR to see how they will work in the daughter's 22.

I was at Cabelas today. Lots of ammo, just still expensive. I bought 2 boxes of Herter's 9mm, 115 grain. 100 rounds in each box. $34.99 per box. Ouch. I have shot Herter's in .40 SW before and it was fine for target practice. I hope the 9mm stuff is good. Kind of an impulse buy. I was really looking at some on sale pants.

6- 300 rnd p.s of Federal Automatch 22lr at my local Wallysmart $21 each. Also just ordered a couple more cases of .308 loaded with 168gr SMK's $170 each

i'm well stocked with rifle ammunition and reloading supplies. Have enough .5.56 and 7.62 ammo to last a young person a lifetime. Could use a few boxes of .380, .38 special and 9mm ammunition. Will check Academy today.

Bought a few 50 round boxes of .22 LR match ammo in 2021.

Stopped at the Walmart near work at lunch. Bought 2 boxes of Federal Automatch 325 packs. $45.81 OTD for a $0.07 per round. Not back where it was but not bad. All my .22’s shoot it fine.
