Last night I ordered 250 rounds 158 grain fmj, 50 rounds of 158 grain hp in 38 special and a 30 round box of 223 off of normashooting.com. they seem to have good prices when you account for free shipping over $150. They have a good price on 9mm makarov but I can't justify buying anymore considering I have around 900 rounds of tula and I don't shoot it too often.
38 special fmj- $.46 cpr
38 special hp- $.60 cpr
223 fmj- $.50 cpr
What are you guys picking up?

You’ve got it covered but I came to this thread to recommend Norma Shooting for ammo as they seem to be the most reliable as for in stock items and shipping right now. I’ve purchased hundreds of .243 and .308 rounds from them and have absolutely ZERO issues with them. Continual sub MOA groupings shooting 100 yd freehand, with hunting rounds. Pretty impressive IMO.

If you’ve never heard of, or tried, Norma ammo then go ahead and check them out. They have a pretty good selection of a lot of common rounds. I pointed them out to a friend of mine because he was looking for some affordable 300 WSM ammo and they were the only ones that had any in stock at the time. He loved the ammo. The grain was heavier than what he was looking for but said that a little hold over was all he needed to compensate from his normal zero.

Heads up for anyone looking for 6.5 Creedmoor ammo from Norma……… they are currently out of stock and told me that they were not sure when their next run would be manufactured. That sort of put a frown on my face but that ammo is not all that hard to find elsewhere.

Just ordered 200 rounds of Hornady 6mm ARC. I'd have preferred to build my own but couldn't find brass. This will break in a new barrel and give me fire-formed brass to load.

I finally broke down and got some 7.62x39 this morning. I figure finding the steel case stuff will be hard to find for a time.
$7.50 a box is ok for this day and age. Not the best, but what's one to do.

At a reasonable cost recently I obtained Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Luger 115gr FTX Brass Case ammunition. Basically I reload and I have a stockpile of components ( pre-panic obtained) and also a supply of commercial ammunition obtained also before the current panic. At my age I may run out of time more so than ammunition and or reloading components.

I handload and reload, therefore I generally do not buy factory ammo unless I can't easily roll my own. Cor-Bon's hot .38 super is easier bought than fooling around with loads and my chrono.
