Wasn't there some kind of sling-shot contraption that shot arrows at shot show this year? They looked pretty neat....thanks...now I'm gonna go see if I can order one....you just had to mention sling shots...

Federal 550 round count 36grain HP was listed at $100 per box. Federal 9mm was listed at $30 a box for standard 115 grain ammo and 45ACP was $45 a box of 50 amd Remington 223 case of 200 rounds of 55gr FMJ was listed at $275.
I think I need o start using a sling shot. You think USPSA would mind.
Those aren't that inflative, Gander MT is selling garden variety Federal, Speer, and Winchester PD ammo for as much as $60.00 a box of twenty. You should see the hate mail I get over at gunbroker from the spoiled little marxists who think I'm ripping them off at $45.00 per box of fifty! But those same little wankers will walk in to Gander and think nothing of plopping down $60.00 for twenty Gold Dots!

Those seem like peak prices. I say hold off. Amazingly similar to our gun show prices last weekend though.

Same show I found 357Sig for $20/ 50 each boxes, and 10mm for $25 / 50 each boxes.

I just bought a 500 count box of 40 S&W 155 gr S&W Silvertips for $264 shipped, from SG Ammo a few days ago. That's like 52 cents a round. It's close to what I have been paying for premium ammo for the last few years.

Other than 9mm and .223, I don't see much of a problem. Although I will say it seems like PD ammo is going for the same price as FMJ/target ammo now.

I saw the same inflated prices at the gun show in KC last weekend...$55-$70 for a 550 box of 22 LR, but, I did not see anyone buying them. The reloading supplies that were priced on the high end of usual were selling fast. I can't believe anyone would pay 300% of the usual price of 22 LR. I predicted this would happen after the election, so I bought quite a bit of 22 LR and reloading supplies for all my centerfire rifles. I'll be OK for awhile, but will keep an eye on all the current suppliers to see if supplies return to normal.

I won't shoot at anything over $25 a box of 50, even then it's only one box. Gone are the days where i can drop $100 a week on ammo. That's a car payment. Once everyone feels the same way the prices will come down. I was able to get 100 round wallmart specials, for $35 a box for 9mm. It's the 45 that kills you, No pun intended", and no one seems to have 40. For any price. Other than the range, sometimes.

I've been seeing everything this past week at Walmart if you time it right. Picked up (3) 100 packs of fed 223, 100 packs of 9mm and 45. Seen 40 S&W, and 38 special, but zero 380 and 22LR.
Grabbed 3 more boxes of fed 9mm this morning. Don't understand why no 22LR though.

Went into a LGS the other day- they were fully stocked. I picked up a brick of CCI Standard Velocity for $30. That's $5 higher than I'd like to pay, but I'm headed toward dry.

Yeah, about a week ago I got one or two 500 round boxes of .22lr for $25 around here. A very fair price, in light of the panic.

But I saw a prominent online dealer asking 4 times as much, and that will eventually hurt him greatly. People's memories of this pricing behavior will outlast the panic. Retailers have the right to ask whatever price they want for merchandise, and customers have the right to badmouth them till the end of time.

If your just a guy selling at a gun show booth, however, I guess your reputation may not matter as much.

But if people are paying 100 bucks for 500 rounds of 22, when it's not yet a necessity, what will the price be when it actually is?
