Saw that, thanks for posting. New slide, barrel, recoil spring (weight). Same FCU, mags will have a spacer to match the shorter cartridge. First thought is this will take over sales for small/pocket 380 pistols except for the tiny 6 round types.

We here on THR speculated about this a few months back.
We didn't speculate at first. SIG made an official announcement in time for the virtual SHOT 2021. But then they didn't post any updates and they missed the promised shipping date, which was "March to April 2021". The gun was delayed by a year. That is when speculation started that P365-380 may be canceled altogether because Ruger upstaged it with the LCP MAX.

makes sense as a conversion kit. Kind of suprised Sig didnt just do a full pistol design and downsize it a bit kind of like what sccy did with the 380 version of the cpx...shorter slide..little smaller grip. Kind of a missed opportunity to do a true pocket pistol if they want folks to buy a whole new gun. Better than nothing I guess but a little lazy for a premiere brand. Some Fans of the brand will interested but I dont see them getting huge market share over this.

If sig is going to go this route they should just offer the 365 conversions as a 30 super as well as a 22lr. They seem to like the idea of modularity with the larger pistols so why not the p365 now that its been vetted.

Wish they'd move the optic plate up on their other 365 models. I think it'll sell. Most small 380s are pretty unpleasant to shoot. Have gotten a lot of 365s and a few LCP Max in trade from older folks not liking the recoil of the 9mm 365.

If they'd have launched this a year after the 365 was introduced it might have been bigger news. My wife isn't in love with the 9mm 365s, but it fits her hand well. Think she'll like this better.

I'd be more interested now if they do released it in .30SC. I wonder if Sig knew about it when they started working on it

The 365 is so successful that I’m willing to bet they’ll offer it in the not too distant future.

Should have made it LCP MAX size. I know it's close, but I think my P3AT is the right size to fit most of my pockets and have considered upgrading to the LCP MAX for the extra rounds.

I’m the opposite. Why entertain a .380 when the 9MM will do…

The whole point of the 365 in .380 is to get more sales as there are plenty of people out there who have issues with the recoil of small 9mms, or racking the slide, and etc.

The 365 was one of the best selling guns in the shop for a while, but also one of the most regularly traded in models. The 380 might be the answer people are looking for.

I wonder if some of those were traded in because it was just a little too big for their pockets and they thought that’s how they would carry it when they bought it.

I know that it seemed like, locally, everyone had every variety of 365 to almost none at all. So, maybe this will be a Great Restocking.
I'm not going to trade in my 9x19 365X. I might (only might) be tempted by a "plain" 365-380.

But, all manner of things tempt me. That RIA in .38super for $615 at the FW Gun show last Saturday tempted me, too.

Most people ask to try it out in a pocket before they buy. The most common complaint with the 365 is recoil, same with other smaller 9mms.

Probably more unlikely they’d have purchased it if they’d fired it before buying.

Finally! Ordered one from my gunshop, hope it gets here by the end of the month.
Hoping an XL version is in the works. Have too much 365xl gear for it to go to waste.

Hope they make one with a double stack 15-round magazine, 4.6" barrel and M&P roll stamped on the slide and I'll seriously consider it.

I already have the P365 in 9mm, but I'm sure there are some out there that will consider this over the 9mm.
