Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I don't know how good these work, but the reviews are promising. It will make shooting the AR-15 alot cheaper
22LR bullets in larger .224" bore of AR15s won't produce accuracy as good as dedicated 22LR uppers/rifles but are great for close range training drills and plinking.

FYI, Black Dog magazines with stainless steel feed lips on sale for $17 - https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Blackdog-AR-15-22-Sonic-Weld-X-Form-Magazines-w-p/bdm-sw-ss.htm

I have only used copper plated/washed 22LR high velocity with my CMMG conversion bolts and even cheapest Federal 36 gr HP in 525/550 round bulk box to various other brands all have worked well to cycle the bolts and shoot to point of aim out to 25 yards I train for fast point shooting with thumb forward on barrel shroud (With scope, I can chase shotgun shell all over the place). I have tested the CMMG bolts to point of failure around 1000-1500 rounds and they definitely work more reliable when kept clean with Hoppes #9 solvent.

My answer to this question is almost always "Yes"... I wish I could let more than 3 days pass without buying something gun related!

Between ammo, parts, targets, cleaning supplies, and cool stuff I don't actually need but want... there is always something draining my wallet in this hobby.:uhoh:

I bought a ticket to the local gun show. I passed on purchasing anything because of the crazy pricing. I think the vendors were there to show off their wares rather than sell them. Some of the most egregious being sold were $52 per pound of Varget, and a post 64 Winchester 94 in NRA fair condition for $1275.

I may have given into my baser instincts and ordered a new rifle scope from Swampfox over the weekend. I’ve been wanting to upgrade my dedicated precision rifle from a 4-14x to a 6-24x for a long time. Now I just need to figure out some places where I can stretch my legs out past a kilometer, and find an easier way to set up targets at that distance

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get out this weekend, if the rain holds off.

Does range time count? I took my S&W 642 revolver to the range yesterday. Put my third 100 rounds thorough it. I can see some improvement but a long way to go on double-action trigger and reloading among other things. I have 300 rounds of 38 Special FMJ range ammo on the shelf, so will be going back.

Off in another part of the state for training. Wanted to stop in at least once and see what they had. Wasn't anything exciting, found some polymer Circle 10 AK mags for $15 also grabbed 4 more boxes of 7.62x54r ammo. He seemed happy to be rid of it. Probably not a big seller in a tourist area of a city. Also grabbed 2 boxes of Federal. 22wmr and some targets from Bass Pro

Buncha mags of capacity greater than ten rounds as my local legislature is composed of idiots voted in by the masses of local idiots. More mags next paycheck.
