These cost quite a bit more than some of the other conversion barrels but they get excellent reviews so I ordered one about 3 months ago and it was finally delivered yesterday. I took it to the range today, ran about 7 different types of 9mm ammunition through the Glock (using 9mm magazines but with the .40 cal recoil spring), and it was flawless. Now I have a gun that shoots both 40 cal and 9mm. That makes me happy.

I’m considering a KKM for my M&P40, everything I’ve read about them was good.

After less than stellar results from an Alpha wolf conversation in a Shield40 I was debating on whether to buy the KKM but I think I’ll do it.

Just curious, What issues have you had with the alpha wolf? I have 7 lone wolfs that are flawless. Never even handled the alpha wolf.

Congrats, Upptick!

Way back when, I got a KKM 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 27, with pretty much the same experience as yours.

I use BCA, KKM, LoneWolf, Tactical Kinetics 40-9mm conversion barrels for Glock 22/23/27 all with drop-in reliability - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...let-max-working-oal-col-for-reference.848462/

KKM conversion barrel has longest leade/cut freebore length with more gradual start of rifling to allow longer than SAAMI max OAL (Good for longer 9mm Major loads). Slower 1:24 twist rate has produced smallest groups using jacketed/plated/coated and especially with lead bullets.

Lone Wolf has shortest leade length with sharper start of rifling that requires shorter than SAAMI max OAL. 1:16 twist rate has produced good accuracy with jacketed/plated/coated and lead bullets. Accuracy is better than factory Glock with lead bullets. 40S&W Lone Wolf barrels have tightest chamber with greater case base support that requires more careful loading with larger .401" sized lead/coated lead bullets (Some thicker case wall brass may not fully chamber) but no issues with .400" sized jacketed/plated bullets.

I have two lone wolf barrels for Glock 22/23 40 to 9 conversion they are very reliable. I also have a KKM drop in barrel for my Glock 20 and it is equally reliable and it took care of the Glock bulge I was getting with my OEM barrel.
