My wife has been pretty good about my gun purchases, but now it's getting to the point where I have to let one go. I know that it will hurt most of you guys to think such a thing. But to keep peace and have the ability to keep purchasing new guns, I have to let one go now and then.

So my current dilemma is between a SIG Pro 2022 and a CZ P07, both in 9mm. The CZ is only about a year old whereas the SIG I bought used at least 10 or 12 years ago. I like both guns but as much as I hate to admit it, I seem to be shooting more accurately with my striker fired pistols. So I've narrowed it down to these two. Which one gets the ax?

I've tried to determine which one I am more accurate with but I can't get a consistent result. One time out the CZ is better in my hands and the next time out the 2022 is better.

So if it were you, which one gets sold?

Thanks.

After 10-12 years you start building a relationship. I’d let the other go. But really I’m a hypocrite because I just sold the 1911 I had and carried 10 years in favor of a newer love.

Since you cannot determine which of the two is more accurate for you, and assuming both are equally reliable, I would choose to keep the more ergonomic one for you (grip, pointability, sights, position of the controls, trigger, etc.) and in case of a tie I would choose the one that looks better for you or the one in better conditions.

None! Just lie to her and pull cash from your gun stash. Nothing out there can replace the classic 2022 or the best full mag carry gun the P07

If you have those two, why do you need to buy a new gun?:)
If you trade they are not gonna give you much anyway.

I like them both so I am no help!:)

Personally I would sell both but that is not what you asked so I'll say the Sig would be it if I had to choose only one.. I won't go into being told to sell guns by the better half as I have never had that problem but I'm pretty sure I would be bringing up things like shoes and purses if I did.

Keep both, get rid of the wife ...

Im real close to agreeing 100% with this but not every man’s better half is stocked up with those items. Now I’ve always made my stance clear going in that I will not part with anything I value except in case of starvation or similar catastrophe. Even then, it better have been caused by fluke rather than overspending on her part.

If you are of the mind that something else out there easily holds more interest than either of these two then I’d say sell them both and put them out of mind. If you cannot do that, reconsider what it appears you’re wanting to buy then don’t. I weeded my ensemble a few years ago if for no other reason than a shift in interest, with no concern as to value, just wanted them gone.

One way to look at it is if you sold both, then regretted your decision, the P-07 is easier to replace. On the other hand, the Sig Pro 2022 is one Sig I never really warmed up to, whereas the P-07 is just a great shooter.

I’d sell the Sig & pick up a pair of marital aids (earplugs!)

I say sell the SIG and keep the CZ but then again I was never a big fan of the P2022. That and the fact that I own and love my P07 kind of makes my opinion a little bit biased!

Actually I went with the CZ because I really liked the solid build quality that it has and that I could swap out the decocker for a thumb safety and carry it in Condition One, like I do with all of my 1911s.
