Finally did it. The LGS has had a Standard Mfg SAA for a few weeks and I could no longer resist. I have to amend my earlier comments, that I thought they were still not quite as good as a domestic USFA. That was based on the pre-production samples at the NRA show a few years back. The production guns are on par with the USFA's, which is to say they are unbelievably good. Like everything else, it is oversprung and will get new ones. It'll be slicker than butter on glass when I do.

Didn't even realize until tonight that I crossed that threshold. Not the 100th that I've bought but the 100th that I currently own. How did that happen??? :p

Gorgeous! Also I wouldn’t mind some group pics of your many handguns congrats On your accomplishment!

Hmmmmmmm . . . 2 C's huh ?!! Well, you're half way there bud!!!!!

That IS a most beautiful revolver right there!! I have a feeling some "very appropriate" leather is in the near future!!!:)

Mike

You're a centurion!
Congrats!
Betcha can't stop there.
That's a beauty with equally nice stovewood. In the proper barrel length, and can I assume it is the proper caliber?

You'll be like our old trapshooting friend. We had a big celebration and a custom shell bag made for his milestone of 100000 registered ATA targets. It was pretty uncommon at the time. About 5 years later ......he shot his 200000th registered target.

Sneaks up on one, like age.

Gorgeous revolver. Love the bluing, love the case hardening, grips look good as well.

What is the (even marginal) purpose for you to own it? I you decide to carry it for any purpose, make sure the holster fits well. One would not want to 'rub' that finish at all.

Another beautiful piece. I've wanted one for a while but yours is a little short in my opinion :p

As others have said the color case hardened finish is stunning, I'm glad you're handy shooting a camera as well because we love to see it!

Are you planning to keep the grips?

I started to do a group pic of all the "premium" 4¾" guns but daylight was quickly fading. Maybe the next time the weather is good for it.

If you know how many guns you own, you don't have enough . Beautiful gun by the way.
Being anal retentive and my father's son dictates that I keep a spreadsheet. :p

Wow! The case hardening on that thing is gorgeous.
I really like how much blue is in the case colors.

That is a gorgeous sixgun.

Congratulations on reaching a number befitting a man with “C” in his name. “C” being the Roman Numeral for 100…Wait, you have 2 “C’s” in your name…:D
Well done, halfway there. ;)

Probably so, it's a neverending saga.

It's a .45Colt, I needed one to go with my USFA .44Spl and Colt .38-40. They do put some nice walnut on them.

I feel its a must have for every wheel gun collector.
I thought so too.

It certainly goes!

No particular purpose but it will find its way into a holster and into the field but it will have to wait in line like the rest of them. :D

An Italian job?
No, these are all US made.

Haven't decided yet. They're nice but I did give thought to replacing them with sheep horn. I may leave them alone because I want to have my Colt engraved and fitted with Dall sheephorn.

Congratulations! Very nice revolver.

I do wish Standard Mfg would offer other calibers (44 Special, 44 WCF and 38 WCF) and while I'm wishing I like to see them offer a black powder frame version as well.

Me too. I was kinda waiting for them to come out with something more interesting than a .45Colt but then I was also waiting to order a Bisley Flat-top Target .44Spl from USFA and we see how that turned out. I'd love a 7.5" .44Spl or .38-40.

It's got it all, high polish blue, beautiful case coloring, and pretty furniture, what's not to like?

Good luck with your new gun!

Excellent! That SAA clone is a real looker for sure. Love the case hardened frame with the fire blued screws.

Congratulations on the century, too. That is a pretty cool milestone., ;)

Stay safe.
