I desided to chalange myself, see which gun was more accurate(in my hands, of corse) I loaded my reloads into both guns, and shot 5rds into each target, 2X, alternating guns after 5 shots. All shots are 2 handed, off hand shots, at a timed pace to re sight. I did this at 4 distances. My CZ was the clear winner. My first 15 shots from my Glock, kinda pissed me off, since I shot a mag full of Hydrashoks into the bank:cuss: I missed a few, with the Glock, hitting just under the plate, but all in all I was happy. Both weapons ran 100%, but what did you expect from 2 exceptionaly reliable guns:D Eventhough the CZ out shot my carry weapon, after the target shooting was done, I did some draw and shoot, and some shooting on the move with my G19, and she hit steel each and every time. Love my 9s:D

Nice shooting! I'm not sure I coul dhave done what with my CZ75B. I need some more trigger time, for sure.

Thanks for the post.

I also carry a G19 and was getting a bit frustrated that I could shoot tighter groups with other pistols (Beretta 92F, M&P9c, Sig P239, and of course, a 1911, all borrowed). I was seriously contemplating getting another pistol for target shooting, but decided instead to just work more with my Glock. Recently, I've made some breakthroughs and am shooting my Glock much better. I think I'm just getting better at squeezing the Glock trigger. I think my G19 is just as capable of tight groups as the other pistols, but there's something about the trigger that makes it more difficult for me to control.

Having said that, I think I'll rent a CZ75 on my next range trip. ;)

Yes, a stock 75B is much more accurate than a glock 9mm.
I used to LOL at the guys who would post that they could
(qualify) shoot a 1 inch group @ 25 yards with a Glock 17.

Can it be done?? Maybe..i've never seen anyone around here shoot
a Glock that well.

In reality, the tighter group wouldn't mean anything when engaging a bad guy.Nowdays, since i'm no longer a LEO.. I cringe at that thought of having to explain why I shot someone 25 yards away. Having a pistol that will shoot 3-4 inches at that distance is good enough for me.

I like Glocks, but LOVE CZs.

I owned a Glock 19. Sold it. Currently have a Glock 17, first generation. I also own a CZ-75.

Accuracy wise, in my experience, the CZ is more accurate than the Glock 19 and 17. The CZ instills confidence due to its excellent accuracy. Glocks are very good, but CZ's are simply better shooters, accuracy wise.

JDGray's results are no surprise. They simply reinforce what I have seen with Glocks and CZ's based on my own real world experience.

When I grab a 9mm, I nearly always prefer the CZ over the Glock.

Are you shooting from a rest? Are you slow shooting/target shooting or practicing for Self Defense?

I'd bet if both guns were in a gun rest/vice they would both be right on.

I have a Glock 19 and 26 I shoot slightly better with the 19. However I shoot much better with my full size 1911's?. I shoot just as accurately with my 642 as I do the Glock 26.

I'd bet when resting or keeping all of them in a gun vice they are all right on the mark. So...you shoot better with the CZ. If I were you I'd make it my carry weapon.

Almost every gun I've shot is accurate, 99.9% of the time it's the shooter not the gun.

BTW Nice Shooting

CZ 75 is a full size handgun. G19 is a compact pistol. Each has it s own strong merits. Try the sig 228 and it will achieve same accuracy as the CZ 75.

My G19 is accurate enough in my hands to be my ccw. I have all the confidence in the world with that gun. I'd much rather have the G19 in my holster, with the consistant trigger and no safty. My CZ trigger is about 2lbs lighter, so thats were I think the accuracy difference comes into play, I also pretty much have to cover the bull with my Glock frt sight, whereas the CZ has more of a 6 o-clock picture. Glockman19, the only time I shoot off a rest is for sigthing in, other than that, every thing is off hand. Both are great guns!:D

Put a dro in Storm Lake or KKm barrel in that glock and watch the groupls tighten up to less than 1/2 the size of your CZ groups. It's just that simple. Heck, you could use the CZ group as a target and hit its ten ring all day long!

I've never been able to shoot Glocks accurately. I suspect that has more to do with the trigger (me not being used to it). My dad picked up the exact same G22 with the same ammo, and shot some nice groups, put it down, said "bleck" and went back to shooting the Witness 10mm.

I suspect it is probably about a tie between a fullsize glock and a 75B.
