Actually, if you look at the shape of the grip and frame, you see that at least in that respect the CZ is derivative of the Hi Power. That is largely cosmetic, but the ergonomics of both pistols are outstanding.

+1 for great line of guns. Just had to let a few go and am down to 6 CZ's right now. My favorite range gun is a 75B. Also have a B with CT grips that is in the carry line up as is PCR.

SA it is. I have a 15 rd mag limit here in NJ so ill have to order without the mags or find a low cap one online.

Thanks guys

Just curious.

In NJ can you modify a 16rd mag to only hold 15 and be legal? It would be no different from puting a 'plug' in a shotgun to limit the capacity. It would be fairly easy to do with the 16 rd mags baseplate.

Yes, but they wont ship the mags. The loophole is they have to be shipped "As parts" , And most dealers wont disassemble mags for you just to sell you a gun. So its something that i will have to get after the purchase. Time to move to PA!!!

Before deciding whether you want a sa or da/sa pistol, you have to decide first in which configuration you feel most comfortable with and which method your level of training in terms of competency warrants if you plan on carrying it. Many people argue that a sa pistol carried "cocked and locked" (the preferred configuration if the pistol is intended for use in self-defense) requires more training to make this way of carrying as safe as possible (in other words, some find it a little less "forgiving" as compared to a traditional da pistol).

As CZF suggested, if your intended use for the pistol is primarily for range/target duties or if you plan on carrying the pistol cocked and locked, the sa mode does have a superior trigger pull.

How about this

This guy sells mec-gar cz 16 round rebuild kits. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=191414 Another option is to get promag 15 round cz mags. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduc..._-PriceCompListing-_-111614#productTabReviews I have a few of them that I have used for years. They feed fine. The springs care a tad on the light side but that can be fixed with a wolf springs upgrade. You could also get a cz75 compact. The mags for it are 14 rounders. I have both the 75 sa and the compact which is also sa now. Both shoot great.
