p-11 trigger pull??

adding a trigger shoe and finger extension are well worth it....it will lighten up with breaking in....the p11 does take some getting used too...keep in mind that it is not a range gun, but personal defense.....it is what it is...KTOG is a helpful site for specific issues.....gpr

I have one also. The trigger pull on mine was pretty heavy when new. I've had it for a few years and probably 1500 rounds and it has smoothed out significantly.

Here are a couple of mods to lighten and shorten the trigger pull. It is not as easy as some other triggers to work on:

I did that mod. Actually I used a nail instead of a paper clip. It did in fact reduce the trigger pull force by a couple pounds. Never did the travel reduction, but I would LOVE to do it.

The new PF9 has a much lighter pull force than the 11, but still has the long travel, too long IMO.

Watch out for the trigger shoe! They are tricky to re-holster and might cause you to have KaBoom in your pants!

A trigger shoe fits over the trigger and makes it wider, thus spreading out some of the pull force. On some guns, the shoe makes the trigger too wide, extending beyond the trigger guard. When one pushes the gun into a holster, the widened trigger may cycle, leaving a big hole (or little--depends) in your Throckmorton.

If you get the Kel-tec trigger shoe for the P11, it will not stick out of the side of the trigger guard. If you get the shoe plan on gluing on. The tiny little screws don't work very well.

Not a good idea to glue it on. If you have to take the frame out of the grip, the shoe will prevent from going out.

Here's the best way to install it - put it on where you want it, tighten the screws down and then loosen them and removed the shoe. The screws will leave slight dots on the side of the trigger.

Get a tiny drill bit and hand turn it on the dots and go down just a little bit, not deep. HAND TURN IT ONLY. Put Loctite on the screws and put it back on. Should hold very well, mine has.

I opened up the hole in the grip.
The grip is just a replaceable hunk of plastic. So I wasn't to worried about it.

I never put a trigger shoe on mine. I've fired over 10K through it over the years, it's very smooth. They originally came with a 10 lb spring, now have an 8 lb spring. The length of the pull is rather long, but I'm quite used to it and am quite accurate with it. It is a very safe trigger to carry, what the gun is made for after all.
