In addition to my earlier posts regarding Kel-Tec safety out of all my pistols the Kel-Tec setup provides both safety and simplicity.. And in my “opinion” backed up by five years of full time carry experience the P-11 has no need of a secondary safety.
Racking the slide quickly is OK, but that assumes that the situation you find yourself in allows you to use both hands to ready it for the first shot. That might not be the case is the encounter is up close and personal...
