Just got back from picking up my very own CZ P-01 and am very happily surprised at what I have. I owned a regular CZ75 years ago and really liked it, but the details were a little rough on it. My new P-01 is much more refined! The night sights are VERY professional looking, not the old "ragged round" sight dots that I'd seen before. The grip panels are a perfect fit for the hand and the overall feel of the weapon is outstanding! The trigger even right out of the box is crisp in single action and I know it will only get better as it breaks in. I can't wait to get this thing to the range. It's one thing to hear everyone brag about their CZ, but it is quite another to hold and feel it for yourself. If all CZ's have come this far, then I know there are others in my future!

I wish I knew how..... I'm 42 and pretty well computer illiterate. :banghead: I can take the pic and get it into the computer, but posting it is a different story.

That's nice. A two tone. What finish is that on the frame? Not to sound dumb, but is it painted?
I will be making a nice set of bubinga or Sappelle grips for mine. I'll make them with the same swells and such that are on the factory grips, it fits quite nicely in my hand. No checkering though.
Nice weapon. Do you carry it daily? I bought mine mainly to train my youngest son on, but that doesn't mean that I won't enjoy it as well.

Here's mine:

I loved this P-01 so much I had it completely refinished in Robar NP3 which is kind of like chrome. What year was your P-01 manufactured? Just above the extractor there should be a stamp with "07" for example which stands for 2007.

You can use image shack to post pics:

Just upload your picture and copy the URL they give you and paste it into the forum.

yes sir, im addicted to my 75 compact and at 500 rounds the trigger is smoothing out.I got some cocobolo grips and a real comfortable holster, love the fit finish and feel. And yes there will be another

Most P-01s are sweet,, indeed. Glad to know that Milan and the boys and girls at CZUB are keeping up the quality control.

When they contacted me a few years ago and asked me what to name the pistol.

I never thought that:
A: I'd actually see P-01 on the side of the new pistol!
B: That the gun would become so very popular!

I don't have any numbers for sales, but I do believe that the P-01 outsold the 75B in in the USA for 2007. Maybe not true, but sure seems that way to me:)

Hauptman - that looks really nice!
My pistol was made in 2007.
Thanks for the tips on posting pics, I'll have to look into it. I see an attachment manager down below and just knowing what that is gives me hope. :D I'll try to post a pic of it today. (Yes, I brought it to the office)

Okay, here's my attempt at posting a photo. I don't have a silver platter, but I do have a curly Bubinga table that I made for my office. :neener::D

Geeze, in looking at that photo it reminds me that I really need to disassemble the thing and clean it thoroughy before hitting the range.

That table is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! Nice gun BTW. I plan on picking up a CZ very soon as well. But mine will be a 75SA. I feel like that would be one sweet carry gun.

Thanks! I'm into custom wood working as a side hobby and I work with exotics about 95% of the time. That's why I'm getting into making grip panels for weapons in the next few weeks. There are a LOT of beautiful and striking woods out there that most people have never even heard of, let alone seen. I just happen to have a good stock of such wood. ;)
Good luck with your CZ decisions. I think you'll be happy as well.

I admit, I can't buy anything involving gun-wood and leave it alone. Rifle stock? Shotgun foreend and stock? Handgun grips? I MUST refinish them. It's like a sickness. I just love the feeling of wetsanding with BLO and 600 grit sandpaper. Its soooo therapeutic, yet so much cheaper than therapy!!!!

It does have a therapeutic side to it doesn't it........ My own little escape from reality. That's why I built the shop in back about 130 ft from the house.

Hi SRT1,

My two tone P-01 was made for, and sold by Gander Mountain. It now sports Hakan grips, and is too darn nice for daily carry. My black P-01, with Omega grips, is my carry pistol.

im about 90% sure im gonna buy a new P-01 tomorrow. wheres a good place to buy these online? nobody has them locally.

and who makes the best wood grips for these? i found this pic online. this is pretty much exactly what I want to buy. any advice for me such as where to buy P-O1, and which wood grips to get? Thanks.

Romma- I suppose my psychotic compulsion would require that I refinish it!!

Maybe they pay more attention to the CZ P-01 because the CZ75Bs that I've seen are typically CZ rough. I examined a couple of new 2007 production models. I noticed that they no longer stamp the year on the divot behind the ejection chamber but on the slide in front of the chamber, and I also noticed that the proof marks look lasered on, they look kind of like an anorexic lion. Anywho, inside were lots of maching marks and outside some small pits on the frames and gnarly marks on the front of he trigger guards from the casting process.
