I want a small pistol .380 or 9mm I have 2 snuby 38(taurus mod 85 aluminum fram) but they are a little big for the pocket an a little heavy, they are ok with a long shirt but I want somthing a little smaller and lighter and suggestions besides the ones above also 400 bucks max price.

I love my Kahr PM9. Carry it most of the time in a pocket holster. It's about the smallest and lightest 9mm unless you go for a Rohrbaugh, which is close to $1000 new. There's also the Kel-Tec P11 and PF-9 that are quite compact and light, though I've had no experience with them. They can be had new for about $300 or less.

You might find a used one PM9 for about $400.

The problem with a gun the size of the P11 or Pf9 is that with your hand on the grip you may not be able to pull it very easily form the pocket. Also, in less you are a really big guy they will probably print quite a bit. The PM9 is a bit smaller but for a pocket gun a lightweight .38 snub or a Kel Tec P3AT work much better for pocket carry. I have a P32 I carry in my pocket regularly. With Fiocchi 60gr HPs I think it is pretty effective for its limited size and caliber.

Seecamp LWS works for me.

It's what I'm carrying right now......perfectly concealed in the pocket of my scrubs.

I don't have a problem pulling my PF-9 from my jeans pocket but I pull it the same way I would my keys or knife, with just two fingers until it clears the edge of the pocket.

The Bersa 380 Concealed Carry is very nice, with the exception of the sights. They are flattened down to prevent catching. In a pocket holster it doesn't print like a firearm at all.

Just A Thought...

A small, hammerless revolver will cycle from within a pocket.

I mentioned this concept in a thread response a while back. Someone posting in follow up mentioned the potential for pocket lint being ignited by firing from within the pocket- I don't know if that is a reasonable concern or not, but it does raise some interesting possibilities, and brings new meaning to the term "hot pants"...

Good bigger pocket guns include: Kahr PM9, Glock 26 and S&W J-frames.

Small guns: Seecamp, NAA Guardian, Kel-tec P32/P3AT, etc.

My two pocket gun are either my S&W 340PD or a NAA mini-revolver in .22wmr. With those two I can go super discreet like at work, or I can go with more power when being discreet is not such a big deal.

I considered this too. But unless you were dampened with gasoline or something, it should be something you can pat out--like a cigar burn.

Gotta love the 'Pocket Pistol' threads.

Mine is a P11, fits nicely in pockets that are big enough.
You'll have to spend more money or go to a smaller caliber if you want a smaller gun than the P11.

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II, .45 ACP. It is almost exactly the same size as my snubby .38, has much more firepower and carries more rounds. It draws and reholsters just fine with a good holster, mine is an Andrews www.andrewsleather.com pocket holster.

NAA 380 Guardian, small and very concealable, but most importantly, 100% reliable.

For very covert carry and in the nicer parts of town number one is the Seecamp .380.

My favorite all around carry is..........
