Bought an AK-47, though I really never cared for them or the AR guns. I prefer the SKS and Garand.

Have bought several high capacity magazines and stocking up ammo and preparing to start reloading.

Before the November election? No.

New Congress doesn't begin until the first week of January, and the new President won't be inaugurated until January 20. Plenty of time.

Yes!Absolutely, mostly ammo and spare gun/rifle parts and other assessories. After hearing gas may hit $5 a gallion by July 4th,I may not wait until Nov.

I'll be buying a Ruger SP101, if Obama gets elected. I've got a good stash of ammo for all of my guns. A good 357 revolver is one of the most versatile guns I could have.

I'm keeping it at no more than 2 guns a month and have been since December. Created a policy to buy at least one box of ammo of any size and any caliber every time I set foot in a gunstore or WalMart...multiple trips in one day means multiple boxes...great way to accumulate.

I'm planning on buying 2 lowers sometime this month. Been wanting one anyway, so figure I may as well bite the bullet and just do it. Problem with that is it just so happens that all the other things I want are starting to pop up, and I don't know if the funds can take it.

I'm not certain yet. I've bought a few AR15 lowers and a few more magazines for my G19, but nothing more.

Before the last AWB, I bought a bunch of G19 magazines and a Mak-90. I've only shot the Mak once and the magazines, while nice to have, mostly just take up space.

I've been thinking about building an AR15-type gun, but don't really want one, don't have a good place to shoot it, and don't have the space. Still, the prospect of not being able to get one in the future does make me think about it - but the stripped lowers are as far as I've gotten.

I'd get more use out of another shotgun, maybe some cowboy guns, and maybe a 642.

If they'd stop causing the increase in gas and ammo pricing, I would add to the family.
At this point, I am upset about the cost of feeding what I have now, and cant see spending more on a new platform just to be angry about how much it costs to "Play" with.

That said, I probably will...lol

Sure have.

I bought a bushmaster carbine and a WASR-10 with 700 rounds because I figure they will be some of the first on the chopping block. Now I need to work on getting some hi-cap mags.

I agree with most of you who are getting your firearms inventory up to snuff before the election.

There is one point I would make here. If an ammo ban was to happen you would need a ammo supply to last for a very long time. Maybe for the rest of your life. If you are young enough you may live through some horrible events and need lots of ammo, to protect yourself or to trade.

Stockpiling components isn't the answer. Consider trying to load ammo when primers, powder, brass is illegal. So will your press, bullet casting equipment, reloading data, case guage. That is a lot of stuff to hide.

If you are watching dancing with the stars and American Idol instead of loading every piece of brass you can get your hands on you are wasting time. There might not be much time left.

just my devaluated .02 worth

if it gets to that point, then there won't be any guns at all.

The worst off-the-bat thing the president can do is exec order the ban on importation, which gets rid of AKs and Wolf. Rather pointless, but extremely annoying to us recreational shooters who depend on both cheap import wolf and AK enthusiasts.
