Sure, but who defines "hunting guns"? And why talk about taking away guns at all unless he plans to do just that.

Plus, there are a lot of things he could do that don't involve "taking away" any guns:

Cancel or refuse to renew all FFLs.

Impose a $100,000 yearly tax on every gun. Can't afford it? Surrender the gun, but nothing is "taken away."

Impose a prohibitive sales tax on ammunition and reloading supplies. (What do you mean a $50,000 per round tax on ammo and a $10,000 tax on every primer!?)

Ban or tax gun transfer, no exception for inheritance. The owner dies, the gun has to be surrendered to the state. Again, nothing is "taken away."

Or simply ban hunting on federal lands, then tell the states to ban hunting or they won't get any federal money. Since there is no hunting, there are no hunting guns, so all guns can be "taken away."

None of those things involve tanks in the streets or black helicopters. Just a determined administration that wants to make sure there is no resistance when it decides to cancel elections and remain in power.

They have since removed those positions. He has repeatedly voiced support for the AWB. He said DC's gun laws- which included a total ban on firearm self-defense under ANY circumstances- was ok!

Both he and Biden have never met a gun control initiative that they didn't like and vote to implement. Biden, in particular, is a known and virulent enemy of the RKBA.

Those willing to swallow such platitudes from a candidate no doubt deserve the government that results.

Gun control is a negative issue that the nObama campaign wants to avoid at all costs. That does not mean that they've suddenly got the RKBA religion. It means that they want to defer the issue until they're in office.

"Urban" is, of course a political euphemism for "black." See the phrases "urban youths", "urban violence", "urban poverty", etc. when used by politicians and academics.

So BHO doesn't have any problem with guns in the hands of "fine, upstanding citizens like yourself", but he doesn't want them in the hands of the "urban people."

Obama is a smooth talker. He has recently said:

"Those of you with rifles and shotguns in you home, I am not going to take them away"

"I support the 2nd Ammendment, with common sense regulation"

Note he does not say he won't take away your handguns and does not share what he considers to be "common sense regulation."

In the past he supported a national ban on concealed carry. Taking the right of the individual states to govern away.

He also in the past supported a ban on ALL semiautomatic firearms. Not only does that include most of the firearms owned for home defense, but would also make the Ruger 10/22 rifle I bought my son when he turned twelve illegal.

If he only speaks in half truths on the gun control issue, I would assume he does the same on all issues. Therefore, I have no idea or what he will do on other issues if he is elected.
