Howdy, folks.
I'd just like to give a good review of Virginia Arms Co. off of Center Street in Manassas, VA. My wife and I went in there today to get a gun. We llooked around for a bit and decided on the Saiga (I'll post a thread with pics when I charge the camera) 7.62x39mm. She was the one buying the gun so I just came in and silently followed offering advice when asked. The sales staff were all very helpful and did not "little lady" her. They answered questions she had about getting a VA CPL and overall were great. The selection is pretty good and the prices are pretty good too...*whispers* and if anyone's looking for a pretty nice CETME for 500 bucks, look no further.

All-in-all, I give this store 2 thumbs up.

I love that place. Everyone bad mouths gun stores, and for the most part I agree. But, Virginia Arms is different. It's run like I would run a gun store. Good people, good prices, they don't try to BS you, . . .

Not surprised to hear it.

Yeah, if you see the fast, friendly service they give on just $20 transfers, you wonder what other stores excuses are for their "customer service".

VA Arms is one thing I do miss about NoVA, great inventory, knowledgeable/helpful/friendly staff, good prices . . . .

Local stores here in SF could learn a lot from Bernie & co.

Very good folks to deal with.
I have been a regular customer for a number of years.

I've never purchased anything from them, but every time I talk to one of their employees at gunshows, they are always nice, friendly, and helpful, even if horrifically slammed with customers. (Which happens a lot at gunshows, natch.) I'd be more than happy to buy a gun from them in the future.

Bernie is good people!

when i lived in Mannasty about four years ago i practically made Virginia Arms my second home.....

It's funny in an odd sort of way, but with all the bad mouthing about gun shops I have never heard or read a single bad review of VA Arms. They are as advertised here in this thread - very professional and helpful whether you buy or not.

I have bought several items from them from firearms to holsters and ammo. Each purchase got the same good service whether it was worth many hundreds of dollars or only 5 dollars.

It is indeed a rarity among gun shops. However, I do have one complaint - they keep the place too neat and clean. You can actually find what you're looking for. That's just not right for a gun shop; it's supposed to smell like cosmoline and oil and Hoppes #9, and you need to try to get the attention of a clerk who is chatting with his buddies to try to get some assistance. That's what gun shops are all about! ;)

add me to the list....transfer rate is great....other shops charge $50...bought 2 handguns , 1 tactical shotgun, and an AK from them all new within a 3 month span and bought a few guns by transfer. Thier retail prices are the best I have seen so far. Bernie is great in replying to emails, even if you have trouble with something, he will take time to respond via email and help you out...one thing I wished they stock more are sporting guns, like what they have down at Greentop near Richmond. I'm into O/U guns for sporting clays and skeet and when deciding how one brand feels over another, none of the shops in noVA carry a wide selection of Brownings, Berettas, SKBs, etc. for me to handle (except the local Dicks with their very few Berettas). I either have to travel to MD to the Beretta Pro Shop at PGC Trap and Skeet range or make the horrible trip down 95 to Greentop. But Bernie will do his best to check his sources to see if he can get you what you want. Really great guy, I plan to buy a revolver from him in the coming weeks.

Great shop. It takes me less than 5 minutes to drive there from home, and less than 10 minutes from work. I buy any of my major purchases and most of my minor purchases not just because of the reasons listed, but because they continue to support the product/customer even years after having been purchased.

Bingo. Thanks for capturing it. Even with transfers of firearms I didn't buy there, the quality and friendliness of the service was simply without equal.

I have some friends that also spoke very highly from Va Arms Co. I've never been there, but plan to check them out this weekend.

I called recently to ask about the availability and price of Sig 556 Commando Carbine, and was told to e-mail "Bernie." I did, but received no response in about two weeks, I think.

Must've slipped through somehow. I guess I will call again.
