So my girlfriend likes pretty guns

My girlfriend only likes hard chromed, Stainless, or nickle plated guns with ivory or pearl grips.... It could be worse.

My GF told me she 'peed herself a little ' when she first saw my Colt 6920, but she loves to shoot it. Go figure.

My wife loves shooting. Can't seem to get her to shoot my Mosin or my 12 gauge or anything, but her .22 rifle or a handgun. But boy does she love her .22 and she even wants to go rabbit hunting with me.

Odd though, I was looking through a gun website and my wife had the exact same reaction to an AK, though. "Oooo! I like that gun!" I knew I had a keeper when I bought her, her first gun (the .22) and she got all excited looking at it. She chose whether she wanted a scope or iron sights. Had a big grin as she filled out the ATF background check.

My husband looked at me like I grew 4 heads when I told him I wanted the Moss. 500 tactical with nickle finish bc it was pretty.... I want the fire power and I want the accuracy and if it's pretty that just makes it that much better. My husband "choose" our first set of guns bc he had researched them. He handed me the SA XD .45 and asked me how I liked it. Then handed me others and the XD I liked best. Then we went back to get holsters later...walked out with a Sig p220 bc I thought it was pretty. What do you do? My husband always says when we start talking about guns "who are you and what have you done with my wife? Please keep her there I like you better!"

There is nothing wrong with liking pretty guns as long as they are not getting something as an accessory and getting it for actual use.

My wife was off buying her first gun on the day that I would have met her for the first time. I met her and married her fairly soon after that. I was with her the first time she shot her gun, a Marlin Model 60.
I showed her how to load it, hold it, and aim it. We were shooting at a metal target that rings when you hit it at a friend's property. Her first few shots missed, but I could see where they were hitting. I pointed out to her where she was hitting and before I could start to tell her how to adjust to the target (we hadn't even sighted in the gun yet) she said 'okay' and proceeded to empty the rest of the magazine never missing a shot.
My dad was around the other side of the building behind us and when he heard the hits he came around to make sure that it was me shooting and not her. When he saw it was her his eyes got wide and he let me know exactly how jealous he was, as my mom is not an anti, but definitely not a gun enthusiast.
Now my wife shoots my XDm .40 better than I do as of yet and is talking about what gun we are going to get next.

The guys at the gun shop tell me that they like it when my wife and I come over. The other guys there usually say they have to ask their wife before they buy a new gun. If I want to buy a gun, my wife holds over my head that if I get one, she gets one too! (that's how we ended up with matching Kahr PM9's)

I'm wanting a 1911 next and I'm cringing at the thought of what's to come

on our honeymoon i was talking with my wife about what gun I wanted to buy next. When we got home, that next saturday she asked..."when are we going to the gun store? dont you want a gun?" while there she noticed a girl buying a revolver with the pink grip. she leaned over and told me that if she ever bought a gun to carry it wouldnt have a pink grip. She said some things, like football jerseys and guns, shouldnt be pink. we have gone shooting and she has commented on a revolver for herself but doesnt really know how to work it so thats her fear. I am considering a new bodyguard 380 or ruger and her ccw class for her as a Christmas gift. The gift would come with a ton of time at the range for the 2 of us.:)

I don't know, I'm in the "almost everything is better if it's pink" camp. I would love to have light pink pearlized grips...

A guy who doesn't take me seriously because I like pretty things is setting himself up for a nasty surprise. Luckily, I don't usually have that problem.

After spending a weekend shooting AR 15's, I'm putting one on my wishlist for Christmas. And, no, I don't buy pink guns - only evil black rifles and pistols!:D

Wow, this got dug up, who'da thunk ya.

So the GF is getting her CCW Class done in December, our little belated 1 year anniversary gift and a S&W 642 for her first gun. It's practical and she can carry it in her pocket, and she agrees with me wholeheartedly on pocket pistols being no smaller than 9mm or .38 special. After that though she told me she wants a Colt Python(thanks "The Walking Dead" for another chunk of change).

She likes my Taurus PT 99 from a practical shooting side(she doesn't think it's pretty but she's a good shot with it at 15 yards(no more than 5 inch groupings when she takes her time) and she giggles about it for having only been shooting three times). She agrees I should get the PT 99 AFS because it is shiney and that I should switch out the barrel for the Beretta 92FS barrel(because you have to have chrome lined barrels she tells me after I explained chrome lined barrels to her).

We were at a friends house and he was showing me his recently acquired Ruger Security Six 2 3/4" in 9mm(a rare one) and she told me to buy it from him because it was shiney and pretty. My friend of course was not going to part with the rare find, not for cheap anyways, and she playfully pouted so now I have to either find one like it or get one with no more than a 4" barrel and have it converted to 9mm(should not have told her that .38/.357 revolvers can be converted to 9mm).
