When in doubt, mention terrorists. It will scare anyone into agreeing with you.

I will give them this: they are relentless. Now the debate is being shaped around the standard centerfire rifle round. Of course it can defeat light body armor. Duh.

But he has just informed the cadre of gang bangers that this is possible (most do not know much about rifles). I guess this will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Why is it, Mr. Kennedy, that you are so anti-freedom? Why do you seek to strip honest Americans of the best defensive tools available for the protection of our children? Your proposal is clear discrimination against the good and honest citizens of this great country, who seek the welfare of our families.

If a politician won't trust me with firearms to defend myself, my family, and my property from criminals or tyrants, then they lose my vote. More guns = less crime.

The majority of the people in MA must either be blatantly stupid or just have no ethics, morals or pride.

As someone that lived in MA for 26 years, I can safely say that it would be the latter, more so than the former.

Actually, if the later was the case, he's most likely just get shot.

I believe it should be mandatory that every Representative and Senator take a breathalyzer before walking up to the microphones or voting areas of their respective chambers.

I gotta agree with the "not-ignorant, just evil" sentiment. He isn't worried about rank and file police officers nearly as much as he is about maintaining political power. His political aims involve a populace being as helpless as possible, and he knows that he needs to use this sort of rhetoric to mask his true colors... to the unwashed non-shooter masses, anyway.

It won't be a bullet that kills that filthy piece of human garbage, and it wasn't a bullet that killed Mary Jo Kopechne either.
