I'm embarrassed to say this, but the election has certainly loosened up my reloading wallet. I'm at $2K and climbing......

When "W" had two years to go I started looking for and finding discounted supplies. I am in very good shape. Although I did buy 500 LP primers last weekend.

not a single penny, why would I? I already have plenty of primers brass bullets and powder. Well then again I just told my friend who is going to Germany for 3+ years I would give him $200 FOR HIS DILLION 550 IN 38 SUPER. So I guess its $200 but it has nothing to do with that socialist election that occured.

Me, I'm in the zero crowd.

I suspect those of us who have been reloading for a while aren't having as much of an urge to do the big stock up buying as new-ish guys. Me and my range buddies who reload have been group buying powder and primers and scavenging for bulk deals on bullets and brass for the past 3+ years, what with the run up in component costs. We have our back stock built up from a running start, so to speak.

Componetnts about $3K
Eqiuipment(Dies) about $300
Handgun Ammo about $1K
Handguns $3K
AR-15 $2.5K
Shotguns $3K

About $500. I'll probably get another 15K bullets over the next few months. I cannot have them all come home at once.

By march I will have spent over $500 since last fall.
I figured I would pick up a keg of my new favorite powder for pistol use, get bullet molds for every thing but 22cal, get some (couple thousand) primers and I might pick up a bullet sizer/lubber but they are over $200 with dies and not sure if I want to go that far.

Oh, probably $600, but that is not a reflection of Obama's presidency as much as the fact that my formerly hoplophobic, anti-gun wife has now become addicted to shooting last December and is currently going through .38 and .357 mag like potato chips.

Spent quite a bit in the 2 years leading up to it. Really got started full force at the first sign of scrap copper going up. (Also sold some copper during that time ;))

5k of Wolf small pistol primers
4#'s of Win 231
1k of bulletworks 9mm 125 gr FP lead
1 Springfield .45 ACP TRP Operator full rail
1500 rounds od .22's
