I think this message to reloader's is very important about RCBS products. I've been around reloading for many years, I haven't really given much thought to repairs or replacement parts for my equip. After apx 37 yrs. I noticed I was having problem's with my rockchucker press that I purchased 37 yrs. ago, with priming cases. I posted here asking for advice on which single stage press to buy.

One of the answer's was to call RCBS for help, posted by randy1911. He certainly knew the right answer. To say that I was shocked, is an under statement . The tech was very kind & listened to me explain my problem, he then stated that he knew what the problem was & that he would ship me new parts right away to correct the problem & when I asked -how much!!, he stated no charge. Also that if the parts he was sending did not correct the priming problem, then ship the entire press back for proper repair.

I ask ,do you really have parts for this old of a unit? He said RCBS keeps parts available for all their old equip., for just such a cause. WOW !!!! What a great co, they really care about their customer's & they back it up with fantastic customer service. I received the parts, installed them & the press worked perfect,no more problem. Sure makes you feel good to know that when you buy reloading products, that you have such a fine co.like RCBS backing their products up with customer service & warranty like this. I'm sure that there is other co's with great service & warranty out there.

I thought that you fellow's needed to know about RCBS. It took me 37 yrs to find it out. No I don't have stock in RCBS, Ha, Ha wish I did tho. What A wonderful co. Its totally refreshing these days to find such a co, during hard times, that will back their products & their customer's to such a degree. They could have said no & I would have understood after 37 yrs. I'm very pleased with RCBS & their service dept, I know what co. that I'm spending my money with from now on, I'll teach my grandson's where to spend their money, when buying their equip.as well . Yes I know I've been long winded, I felt that you fellows should be told. Thanks & good shooting to you'all, Ken

That's awesome....I think you would find the same response from Dillon or Hornady as well. Reloading is one area where we get outstanding customer service and product support.

I screwed up the same mandrel twice. The first time they sent me one for free. The second time I insisted they let me pay for it. It was my dumb mistake. The CSR would have nothing to do with. She sent one for free under my protest.

Amazing company.

i too have had nothing but greatness come from the rcbs customer service department. having motors burn up on my tumbler they have sent new ones no problem no questions asked. they are great

My son totally mangled a decapping stem and expander assy with the usual stuck case shenanigans before he asked me what to do. Then he took off and went with the Rangers, So about a year later i called the manufacturer and told them of my sons dumbfoolery. Stuff might be made by the same folk makes bullets in red boxes, and they basically said if you want to pay for it we cant send it. We dont care if he didnt know how to resize cases and abused the equiptment. So after being bullied like that i said OK send it free of charge then. I shoot lotsa their bullets and can only speak well of them.

I myself an seriously looking in to starting to reload my handgun ammo.
I have reloaded shotgun for about 12 years now with my dad. So I have a few of the basics down. As in do my home work an double check before cranking a bunch out.
I am really liking what I hear about RCBS an man are they priecy. But I have always believed you get what you pay for an it sure sounds that way with all of you.
DAVE

Glad I was able to help. It makes me feel good to know I've done somebody good. The only problem I have ever had with RCBS is getting though on the phone. Always busy.

I have had similar experience with LEE as well.... I lost some powder scoops back when I was getting started.... I lost them, and I told them so.... they sent me new ones.... for free....

Greetings,

Is it me that is wrong or all reloading equipment companies have an incredible customer service? I have a Dillon 550B and 3 times I called Dillon with a problem CAUSED BY ME and they shipped me the parts free. We talked about it and we both figured out I messed up...

I never thought there was too much of customer service, but they made me feel bad because they fixed MY mistake at their expense.

...If the cell, car, electronic companies had such a customer service... oh! well. The sky is not pink over my head yet...:)

Thank you

Thanks for posting a positive view about a company..A suggestion...Why not go ahead and e-mail the post you posted here to RCBS..They would not only appreciate it and feel good, but you as well..This world today could use more of that and a good company's that does outstanding customer service needs to be recognized in the highest way

Rcbs press

Thanks to all of you who answered my post. Yes I did send a copy of my post to RCBS,and I hope it does make them feel good. They deserve it. Standing behind a press 37 yrs. old & wanting to help, means a lot to me. I'd recommend RCBS, to my friends, family,& fellow shooters always. However having said that ,doesen't mean there isn't other great co's out there like RCBS, giving good tech support & warranty. I really think that this ordeal with RCBS was certainly outstanding, on their tech support & warranty. However thats only my opinion, coming from a 68 yr old shooter, if that means anything. Thanks again,& Good shooting to you all, Ken

+ 1!
I've experienced too the RCBS service (from Italy!) and their customer care is outstanding.

Just a thought, but the industry wide trend to be helpful might stem from liability. If you know the company is going to treat you right your going to call them and get the rights parts. If service is "so-so" you might be more inclined to have that blacksmith buddy of yours turn something out on his lathe that's "good enough".

Either way, good to hear some companies out there are doing things right...

That is why they are one of the 2 companies I buy equipment from. Everytime I call they treat me exactly like the last time. Wilth excellent service.

I've noticed that reloading-related manufacturers tend to have the customer service mentality mentioned in post #1 quite often. I attribute their integrity to those who tend to purchase their products. I bet the manufacturers of spinning rims aren't known for their service quality. I actually can't think of any other industry that maintains such high standards.

I have a Dillon 550B, and a Square Deal B, but my RCBS Rock Chucker still does all my rifle reloading, and all my misc pistol loading in small batches and for test loads. It has been around for at least 28 years, and has never broken. I think every reloader should own one.

Way to go Ken, that is good that you sent the letter to RCBS. I have worked in sales and service for 37 years and most only send the letters of complaint. I too have had excellent service from all the reloading companies they are all a great bunch of people. If you stop to think of it most sporting related business's are top notch. Wishing you all a Happy Easter!!!

RCBS rocks,,they replaced my scale.replaced some die componets, all free,,,
HOW can you beat that? great company,RCBS is all i buy now.

I lost the cup that catches spent primers. I called RCBS and explained that I lost it (my fault) and would like to buy a new one. They sent me a new one, NO CHARGE, not even shipping. That is what I call customer service!

RCBS has great customer service. I ordered an RCBS electronic scale from Midway and it came with no powder cup. I called RCBS and they sent me a whole new scale...now I have two (just went and bought a brass cup for the other scale for 9 bucks)!
