Alright.....so, Wednesday, my dad and I are going to go to a Cincinatti Reds game, driving from Louisville, KY, on I-71 to the stadium in Cincinatti, OH. Now, I know that Ohio is allowed individual fiefdoms in terms of firearms laws, but my question to the more legal-minded HighRodians is--can I legally CCW the entire duration of my "visit" to Ohio, including in the stadium? KY CCW license, with a 5-shot J-frame, for the curious--dunno if it helps anything for y'all to know that.

The reds stadium is a Criminal Protection Zone. It's posted and they serve beer on the premises (Class D licence).

Ignoring the gun buster signs might only net you a misdemeanor trespassing charge, but carrying in a Class D facility gets you a felony. That's Ohio.

You'll most likely get a wand scan at the entrance as well.

As a former Northern Kentuckian who frequently used to sadly go to games and watch the Reds Lose. I can tell you that carrying at Great American Ballpark is a big NO NO!

Shdwfx covered it with the Class D issues. Your CCW is no good in the Ballpark and if found carrying you are looking at some jailtime. There are big signs covering no Concealed weapons and you will likely be wanded and have bags and purses searched.

That's no longer the case as of last September when The Ohio Supreme Court said that state preemption is valid.

places ccw are allowed are getting few and far between. Upstate NY is rediculous here you need a permit just to own and have a convincing reason to own and on top of that they can grant you a permit to only own in your house and property if they feel thats all you need.

Not in Ohio. In fact, places where you can carry concealed (or openly) are EXPANDING. When it's legalized to carry in a restaurant with a liquor license, it'll expand even more.
