Nope, looks like a bubba to me...but yes *genuine* sniper variants are worth quite a bit more.

I could be wrong, but I BELIEVE the true 'sniper' variants had a long bolt bent at 90 degrees, not some ornate curved one.

I concur N003k, and am nearly positive...and it makes since being commie...they never have been much on the artsy stuff.

Hahah, true, why bother with a nice ergonomic comfortable bend? Silly Soviet Sniper! A 90 degree bend works just as fine!

interesting "Average accuracy was about 1.5 MOA with some examples shooting WELL below 1 MOA." any sub MOA riffles will beat it, even my old Savage with .8 MOA

that is not one, but someone did a really good job on making that bolt handle, very well done.

if I didn't allready have a well shooting mosin, I would bid on that one.

I don't believe so, either bubba'd bolt or ordered a new bolt (I forget the guy that does them) The best way to tell if it is one, is to look for the 2 filled holes inside the action and check the markings on the receiver. But 155 isn't bad for one with a bent bolt. I got mine (not a sniper) for $80 at Big 5.

The true 91/30 sniper rifles were not designed for pinpoint accuracy at umpteen hundred yards. They were issued in very large numbers for front line infantry support. The Soviets had a completely different view of snipers than the US Army did, one which they learned the hard way fighting the Finns.

As far as that particular rifle, I would advise great caution on these buys. most scout-style scope mounts for the Mosins are prone to shifting in recoil and are not made for serious use. This one looks like someone hacked it together and I would have zero faith in its ability to hold zero.

Good God no that is not a mosin sniper. Its just a bubba-ized mosin they bent and swept back the bolt handle on, and slapped it in a synthetic stock.

Here are what the real Mosin snipers look like in the 3 most common styles-- Note the original wood stocks, bolt handles bent at a right angle to the bolt, and the proper mounts.
