What's the easiest firearm you've ever disassembled?

nylon 66 of coure:rolleyes:. In all reality, the fastest in my limeted experience was and old 20 gauge: all that it reqired was to load and pull the little lever in the circle on the bottom:what:

1911
JMB designed it to be taken all the way down with nothing but the parts of the gun and a .45 ACP round...thats why the grip screws are convex shaped on the heads, so you can unscrew them with the rim of the shell

Wow, two unrelated questions with the same answer. Bond Arms 45c/410ga.
Break it open, clean it, close it. :)

I've been beginning to question this purchase, thanks for re-selling me on this one. methinks I'll keep her.

K31, you need a flat blade but I had mine apart in 2 minutes without looking at a manual or doing it before.

Glock? Ha! Only if there is no chance you don't need a hole in your thigh or could use a finger blown off. Sorry folks. It there is an industrial accident based on human error than you need to put in place engineering controls to prevent them from re-occuring. There is a reason why S&W put that flip down lever thingy in the take down procedure. Sorry, didn't mean to be crude. Easiest for me? Any 1911, a SIG metal frame or a Beretta 92/96.

Glock for sure, played around for a few hours one night and got a 22 field stripped and put back together with one hand, detail stripping takes about another 2 minutes.

Hardest I've ever encountered would be an old ruger blackhawk.

another +1 for Glock. With a a small allen wrench, I can take my complete G22 to bare slide, frame, and a handful of small parts, pins, and springs, and put it back together again in about 5 minutes.

Speaking of detail stripping, I've been looking to replace a few internal parts in my Beretta 92 and EAA witness Elite Match. Does anyone know where I could get some internet videos or how-to guides to learn how to detail strip their frames?

Do you own a Glock? With a little practice, the slide pops off with zero effort every bit as quickly and safely as any other design. Pulling the trigger should never be an issue when the gun is properly cleared, something that should happen with ANY semi.

Hmmmm, I would have to go with the AR15, you don't even need any tools for most of it and there's only two pins for the trigger/hammer group. The XD is pretty simple too, but you will need a punch to get pins out. The AK get's a bit tough because of the springs, but otherwise it's fairly simple. The 1911 for me is cake, only one pin that needs a punch.

Many years ago I owned an S&W 357 mag. revolver that I was shooting with reloads. One of the reloads had a double charge and that revolver "disassembled" so easy I couldn't believe it!

1911

Very intuitive, and the fact that you don't need a single tool if you're using the original screw style is a bonus. I had never disassembled a firearm before and I was able to detail strip one WITH a firing pin safety in under 5 minutes.

Have to cast my vote for the Savage bolt action (mine's a model 93). Easy to take apart.

While the Ruger 10/22 is easy to field strip, its not quite as easy to take apart in detail, though its not terribly hard.

The mossberg 500 isn't bad either.
