Another for the .41--like 1911 tuner, in a gun that's never been made: an L-frame S&W five shot .41 (a'la the 696 in .44 spec).

perfectly said my opnion also i have a 460 i think it is the most versitale hand gun ever i can shoot rabbits with 45 colt(specal handloads) or grizzly with a 460 all in the same gunSo where does that logic end? You can only load up the .44 Mag "so far" as well, so why not the .454 Casull or .500 S&W?
I do feel that the .357 Magnum is limited and somewhat anemic (not in and of itself but when compared to other cartridges) so my vote is for the .45 family of cartridges including the .45 Colt, .454 Casull and .460 S&W. Talk about an impressive range of performance from a revolver chambered for the .45 Colt and .454 Casull. I don't know how anyone could argue that the .44 Special and .44 Mag are more versatile than the .45 Colt and .454 Casull ... particularly if you reload for both.
If you buy a 41 mag. I hope you reload. If you do you will see that the 41 can and will do ANYTHING the 44 mag will do JUST BETTER.
Now don't get me wrong I do like the 44 mag, I just think the 41 mag is better.
Yes.....and they go up to 355gr which can be driven to 1200fps in Ruger Super Blackhawks or anything with sufficient cylinder length.Wouldn't the .44 magnum, which is available in 300 grain bullets, sometimes even 320 grain bullets be the better option against dangerous game?
How is it that you have avoided the ravaging waves of rabid Kodiak Grizzlies that the rest of THR fights off on a daily basis?.32 H&R Magnum followed closely by the .22 Mag
If your next door neighbor has a .500 S&W, the grizzlies give you constructive credit.
