^^^^^ What he said. I think it really depends on where you were raised as to what is concidered odd. Some people think chitlins are a good thing to eat.
I like frog legs too, but when I mention them here in the PRoM, even to the folks who live near the French Restaurant that serves them..., I get "odd" reactions.
Rattlesnakes are good, tree squirrels are just awesome. Coyote is pretty gross. Jackrabbits have a bad reputation but the one I ate was very good. Bobcat is very good too. I'd like to try horse and domestic dog... the hawaiians say black dog is good eatin
Funny, you guys are mostly listing off what most people would call "trash" animals, namely animals that don't tend to eat well and therefore usually don't taste good. Personally I don't find many of these odd and would probably eat some. The strangest foods to me are the ones that people with money tend to eat. Like Foie Gras or caviar. I mean, seriously, FISH EGGS? Blech! And the things they do to Geese to get Foie Gras are pretty bad. There's some other stuff I wanted to mention but it's late so I forgot.
Oh yeah there was that episode of Man vs Wild where he ate a skunk. He gagged. 'Nuff said.

During my two year sojourn to the lovely environs of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines, I was informed that I have eaten dog, cat, horse and possibly rat disguised as something else...and I don’t really care to know the truth.
I've kowingly eaten alligator prepared by a game chef and I really enjoyed it.
me and a buddy set out in the woods intent on coming back to camp to grill a porkie, but quickly realized we were ill prepared to butcher it. Them things are wicked!

I've never knowingly eaten dog or cat, but I've had my share of Taco of the day from road side vendors so ...
Being retired military and having been deployed to the middle east, only the good Lord above knows what I've eaten at the chow hall. I've had Camel, could identify it as it was in the chow hall and you had to cut your meat off it it. Dang thing had an apple in its mouth, like they do with pigs. I've eaten arabian beef and I've never seen a cow anywhere in the middle east. It was next to the regular beef burgers and the color, texture and taste was like no beef I'd ever eaten. Then there was the crunchy greenish/brown meat like substance that tcn (third country national) laughed when he placed it on my plate. Or the odd shaped chicken (?) wings that still had hair on them and did not taste like chicken. Can you say thank God for MRE's.
