Most Reliable AR15 Magazine?

I have a siaga .223 with a Renegadebuck AR-15 magazine adapter. (I love it by the way). I got a great deal on USGI 30 round magazines for $5 each. I then went on Ebay and got a great deal on brand new Magpul III followers. (They were even the gray ones). Got them for roughly $2 each. So; for about $8 each (When you include shipping); I have about 15 AR-15 magazines that have been flawless. My saiga and the Renegadebuck AR15 mag adapter love them. Never a jam.

Pmags have always worked perfectly for me. I hit the button and drop mine on the pavement all the time when they are empty, no problems.

Since they are like $17 each or less I see no reason to buy anything else.

...has anyone tried those Countdown mags?
I haven't, but IIRC someone created a thread a while back and liked their form (the countdown feature) but not their function (either didn't feed reliable or were fragile...can't remember).

:)

I haven't tried the countdown mags and won't be.

I have two or three of the Gen 1 TAPCO mags and wish I had spent the money on Pmags or Lancers instead. Maybe Gen 2 is better, but given the relative prices, why bother taking a gamble?

I have played with a few, and while they functioned reliably I just didn't like them...they somehow felt soft in the feedlips area, were difficult to load, and are not available in 20rnd configuration (which effectively sealed the deal for me). In short they do little that the PMag can't do better, and nothing that the Lancer can't.

:)

I have Pmags and USGI mags. I sure hope they work perfect. Working good or good enough isn't really good enough for me. They have to work every time and perfect every time, no exceptions.

I have 7 USGI and 10 Pmags with the windows. Might pick up more Pmags without the windows soon.

I found that DSG Arms had very good prices and you get a discount for being military or LEO.
