Smallest DA/SA 9mm's?

The S&W 3913 or 3914, while not currently being made, are easily found for pretty good prices.

They are an overlooked gem.

Beretta Px4sc or Compact 9mm

Might want to take a look at either Beretta Px4sc 9mm (with tilt-up barrel action) or its slightly bigger brother Px4 Compact (with rotating barrel) which is slightly smaller than a Sig P229 which, both gun and size, wise, are one of my favorites..

Both are less than 500 NIB iirc and have one of the nicest, smoothest, DA pulls out of the box for their low cost compared to, say Sigs, 300 bucks more and also have quality/smooth DA triggers out of the box.

Just make sure that whatever you buy, IF the gun dealer has more than one gun on display or has more in the back, to ask/demand nicely *as a buyer, IF you can compared all of them and pick the one with the best DA/SA smooth/even DA pull and clean/crisp (with no trigger creep) SA breaks..

Plus, smoothest slide cycling action and slide tightness, slide to frame rail fit/tightness - front and back side to side motion/movement/looseness or best, most tight all the way around, and best finish, insect the gun inside and out, etc.

That's the one you will buy.. should buy

I carry a 1911 .45 (also available in 9mm) with 4" barrel and alloy frame in a inside the waist band holster much easier and comfortable than I do my 9mm Sig 239, Glocks and Beretta 92D Centurion. The 1911's are just thinner and that makes a difference. If you want smaller, consider the Springfield EMP in 9mm. The 1911 is as easy to master as a DA/SA. I like having the grip safety and SA trigger.

S&W 3913NL or CS9

In DA/SA, the variant of the S&W Third Generation pistols known as the Chiefs Special (model prefix CS) is the smallest I can think of. The SIG P239 and S&W 3913 series are next up on the size scale. Everything else smaller that I can think of is DAO.

Bersa UC 9mm, excellent shooter and very dependable.

I think the S&W CS9 is smaller than custom ASP. The only reason the CS9 didn't take off was becasue of so many small offerings for 9's. With guns such as the Kahr, Glock, etc, with other types of trigger pulls and compact size, that the DA/SA and 3rd Gen Smiths kind of fell on the wayside.

Yes you can, get a glock 26. I have carried them all and a 26 still is the lightest most reliable

S&W 908 Compact is fairly small and very thin and flat...8-cartridge single stack magazine. De-cocker on the flip side.

I think the H&K P2000SK should be a consideration.
