1948 mosin nagant
1952 Beretta 948 .22
1977 S&W M66 stainless .357 K frame my grandfather bought new, shot 6rnds through it then i got it when he passed away Dec 26th 2008. he was also the one who taught me how to shoot.

Henry Leman, Lancaster, PA, 38 cal squirrel rifle with pewter nose cap, cap box, 39" barrel, and tacks on the stock...supposedly traded from a Cherokee to a druggist about seventy five years ago. Also, a double percussion 12/11 gauge shotgun with belgian proof marks..which I used to hunt with til I got a bore scope and found the big erosion pits next to the breech plugs next to my face. Not that I have a really nice face but it is the only one I have. It is retired.

Probably the original Lee-Enfield #4/Mk. 1: appears to be 1942. No markings of origin remain.

Of my ten guns (all rifles), five were built from '42 until about '48.

Had no luck with the date of my grandfather's Savage .22. It might have been built in the late 30s and is still accurate, in good condition.

Ortgies .32ACP

My oldest is a Deutsche Werke Ortgies pattern .32ACP German pocket auto made in early 1920's & his little cosin in .25acp. Similar to Colt 1903. All steel & function flawlessly.

I was so lucky to get hold of a "Kassepipe" (box pipe). Pure Norwegian history. These rifles were made between 1740-1770. Mine has been converted to a percussion lock. Originally it had a snapp-lock.

Its made out of marsh iron which has a unique side. Its not likely to rust.

This rifle is identical to mine, I dont have any pics of it yet. Ill use it at MLAIC competitions. Makes the collectors cry and me smile....

It went through all of us kids, and i ended up with it, so i rebuilt it in the 80's, and i still hunt with it some, it's been a GREAT gun!

Not much of the collection left these days... 1929 Remington model 8, 1929 Winchester 1907, and 1919 Police positive.

OK, I think you win (so far) for the oldest firearm in your collection...

Mine would be a .22 J.C. Higgins/Sears Roebuck 103.229 S-L-LR, of which I do not know the exact manufacture date. Just that it was definitely before serial numbers were required on .22s. I got it from my grandfather, very recently. But that is about all the history I have on it, sorry!

Got my Grandfather's Baker Batavia Leader. I figure somewhere about 1900 and a 1943 Mossberg .22 44US. That about does it for old stuff

F&W .32 S&W-L.
Mid-1890's.
After three weeks of annoying restoration it shoots spot on, doing what it was designed to do for over 110 years.

A model 1907 Savage .32 auto pistol. Serial number tells me it was made in 1914. It is in good condition. I bought it from a friend in 1974, for my mother. When Mom died in 2007, I inherited it. Despite my idiocy in signing an unrestricted Community Property Agreement, it survived my Jan. 2008 through Feb. 2010 divorce, and I was just looking at it a day ago.

Model 1883 Springfield 45-70 trapdoor with bayonette. Manufactored during the 2nd quarter of 1888, 1 of 9600, issued to the Iowa volunteers. My grandfrather, a tavern keeper, took it in trade from a customer that could not pay his booze tab. It's missing the hammer, sling, cleaning rod and the rear sight is inop

It's a toss-up between my Winchester Model 90 (made in 1916) and my 1916 Guardia Civil Spanish Mauser (manufacture unknown). A lot of the Spanish Mausers were converted from older rifles, so it could be as old as 1893 manufacture.

CollinLeon, did you put electrical tape on that stock? Why?

My Winchester Model 99 Thumb Trigger 22 was manufactured by Winchester between 1902-1923. It's so old it doesnt have a serial number.
It's a thumb trigger model in better than 75% condition, I even took my hunter safety course shooting portion when I was 12 yrs old with it and now it's valued at around $3-4K. Probably cost $8.00 new in those days.
I also have a old frame of a derringer that is no doubt older than that but hard to tell since the wood is all rotted away, the steel quite rusted and corroded and the short barrel is a hex shape. Caliber was something around .22 - .30 at best. Appears to be a so-called Pin Revolver, use a precussion pin attached to the wheel cylinder to fire the cartridge.
