I shoot my Grandfathers Crescent Arms 12ga. SxS from time to time.

28" barrels, F and M, ivory bead. The metal has a nice worn sheen to it, the wood was a little rough but I added a few coats of truoil and brought back the shine, everything else orginal.

Best date I can find for manufacture is 1927.

Until about a year ago I shot my dad's Rock Island Arsenal 1903 .30-06 with an extremely low serial. After posting photos and asking questions on a forum, we stopped shooting that one.

My oldest firearm now is a 20ga double barrel Noble I got when I was around 10 years old. That one's been around for a long time.

There are also some .22lr and .22MAG rifles of my great grandfather that we still shoot all the time and have killed more varmints than you'd believe.

my oldest gun is my 11.15x60R Prussian Mauser 71/84 made in 1884, and I shoot it whenever I get a chance. Lots of fun with an original load of real black powder.:D Gotta love all that white smoke, and the great smell. Pretty accurate still too.

I have a Wartime Commercial C96 that get a bit of exercise every once in a while. Up until the time I sold it I would bring my Reichsrevolver M1879 to the range for an occasional workout.

Oldest I shoot is Grandad's Winchester 1885 "Low Wall" in .22WCF purchased in 1892. I believe it was offered as the "Plain Sporting Rifle".

And here's a picture of grandpa posing with the same rifle in 1899. I'm a little reluctant to show him displaying the poor trigger discipline, but I guess it's 99 years ago and he's long gone.

The rifle was purchased a few years before this phtoto after Grandpa and the referenced brother Lee "blew up" the family muzzle-loading shotgun. The story is recounted in one of Grandpa's volumnious memoirs he left us.

Oldest gun I have is a 1861 Springfield cap lock. It could be shot but I haven't
Oldest gun I shot on occasion is A 1921 Dwm Luger pistol.
Next oldest would be a 1942 Springfield M1 Garand.

I have a Marlin Model 1889 manufactured in 1893 in 38-40. I will take it out once or twice a year to shoot(when time permits) and always get reminded how much I love this old gun.

The oldest gun I shoot with any regularity is a Stevens #10 Target Pistol, built in 1919. The oldest gun I shoot on special, rare, occasions is a 1911 Luger.

krag made in 1898 as a side note I hunted pheasants last fall with my 1897 winchester made in 1908 got my limit too.

probably my old Marlin Model 39. I don't have accurate dates, but I believe it dates to the 1920s.

I know my old Springfield Model 1899 still functions flawlessly and I'd have no qualms firing it. I've just never purchased any .30-40 Krag to run through it.

the first actually used Reichsrevolver i see here.....

a shame germany didn´t really invest time in manufacturing revolvers after that.....

Harve Curry 1881 Marlin made in 1886 and a Spencer 1865 carbine.

You can find rimfire ammo for the Spencer? Or did you convert it to CF?

When I had a SPencer it cost me $25 for one shot. But it was worth it.

My grand fathers Remington 512 "Sportmaster" It was made somewhere between 47-55. Back then .22's did not have serial numbers, Just proof marks.

My Mother and my Uncle both learned to shoot on it, as did my sisters and my self.
My childern will learn on it also. :)
