RIA and Unknown knife

Here is my RIA Tactical and a custom made knife that I bought more than 30 years ago. I bought it at a Renaissance Festival and it sure looks pretty. But it's flawed. The blade hits the rod that is used for the lock back spring and it puts a flat spot on it.
