So, which is a better carry gun? I ordered a custom holster and now it's time to chose which one to have it made for.

The 75 compact is slimmer and steel. No useless tactical rail. It has a safety where you could, theoretically, carry cocked and locked (although without a grip safety or a postive "click" I doubt I would - experiences?).

The P01 is lighter weight and the big advantage I think is the decocker, which I like better than the safety - but I could be persuaded otherwise...

how about the PCR? alloy frame, decocker, and no rail. I kind of wish i went with the PCR over my P-01 since i don't use the rail and I like the sights on the PCR better.

I have the PCR as well. If you have trouble finding a holster for your 75 compact, pickup something made for the sig 229

I have had and carried the Compact, PCR and P-01, sometimes at the same time. :) The Compact's difference from the PCR/P01 is the steel frame and the standard safety. The PCR is an alloy frame with decocker, loaded chamber indicator and low mount Novak style sights. The P-01 is alloy frame, standard sights, decocker, no LCI, and an M3 rail forward.
I would not carry the Compact if I was weight sensitive, or lacked a good gun belt. Get a Rock Steady gun belt from High Noon and that will eliminate a lot of problems. the Compact and the PCR can share many holsters - the P-01 needs a wider muzzle for the rail. High Noon carries many many rigs for all three guns.
Since you say you have a Compact and a P-01, all I can say is, my P-01 has been riding with me every day of the year, bar none, since I got it several years ago. I like the alloy frame and the decocker. Of course, nowadays I am also getting used to carry a BIG sidearm concealed, the P-01's big poly brother, the CZ SP-01 Phantom.

I have a PCR, and carry that. Yeah I know that's not the answer you are looking for. I'd carry the P-01 due to the weight issue. Just get a good holster for it.
