I am a handloader with much rifle and very little pistol loading experience. I own a set of 10MM dies. I have a .40 to load for. This may be a stupid question but...can the 10MM dies be used for .40 SW? A bud says yes..want to hear from those in the know. Thanks

Yep, I've loaded ten of thousands of both in my 10mm dies. I did eventually go to a set of each because I got tired of tweaking mouth belling and crimping when I changed from one to the other.

I use Dillon presses and swapping dies is a 30 second job, so why not have them both? I strongly recommend you taper crimp in a die specifically designed for that.

Should work fine. My dies and shell plate say .40S&W/10mm. Have fun! :)
