I finally got around to shooting my M&P compact this past Monday, and IT ROCKS... Very reliable "out of the box" and did not hiccup once while shooting. The short grip on the gun was a small problem, however... when I used the short magazine, it cut across my ring finger and ruptured the blood vessel causing a nasty bruise... the whole finger turned blue which went all the way up into my palm... looked nasty and was sore... but with the finger extension mag in, it shot like a dream.

.357 Sig is one hot round, and shooting this gun is going to be something that will occupy a lot of my time while shooting from now on. I switched and put another finger extension on the short mag today, so the blood vessel problem should go away next time.

I love my M&P and the .357sig has become my favorite round for self defense/carry use. The ballistics are very impressive and its a very very flat shooting round with no muzzle flip and an odd recoil feel of a direct forward/back absorption opposed to a muzzle flip.

my Carry gun is like your M&P .357sig compact and one of my favorite shooters is my full size .357sig M&P.

my carry that started life as a .40 compact that i got the $40 factory .357sig barrel for

and my other M&P .357sig shooter that started life as a .357sig w/night sights i got hardly touched for $350 and i put a .40 factory barrel in there for $35.

I've only shot a couple of .357sig Glocks and they were very accurate and fun to shoot.

One of these days hopefully I will be able to afford to feed a .357sig pistol.

I've been wanting a CCW in .357 sig and was really thinking about the M&P compact but couldn't find anyone who'd actually shot it. I'm glad to hear that it's a solid gun. I think I wll be buying one when i get a chance.
