Na. It really doesn't change your life that much. If it does you are probably doing it wrong.

I believe that the right to keep and bear arms is a God given right. Best wishes, I have been carrying for about 3 years now. May God bless and keep you from ever needing to use that weapon.

I've been carrying for 15 years now and still remember how awkward it felt to go out into society with a concealed handgun.

Now I feel equally if not more awkward if I leave the house without one.

Two rules:

1) Don't go anywhere with your firearm you would not go without it (except maybe to the firing range.)

2) Don't leave your firearm behind in a restroom stall. :D

Congrats. Not only are you safer now, so are those around you (though many will not know it.)

Congratulations.
When you say "38 Caliber handgun in My waistband" I'm sure you mean in a proper holster? Just checking because you don't say.

If you do anything or go anywhere tomorrow that you wouldn't have done yesterday just because you have an extra pound of steel tucked into your waistband, you're doing it wrong.

Your world has definitely not changed, it's just the same as it always was.

Kudos to you for taking accountability for your own safety.

If it takes a weapon in your wasteband to be safer in your neck of the woods, I'm sure glad I don't live there

Doesnt matter where you live, a CCW makes you safer. I live in the statisticaly safest place in the country and I still carry.
I have a CPL, but I still know enough to shy away from areas where I know carrying is a necessity rather than an option.

I have been carrying from the time it was first legal [and before if it seemed necessary]. I left home the other day, got halfway to wallyworld, and panicked. I had forgotten something. I finally remembered I left my carry gun in the bathroom at home. Felt very uncomfortable all day.
