OR, one where we can potentially protect ourselves and others from suffering "merely really bad" harm. OR, one where we can potentially "merely really" limit harm done. No?Having a CCW permit and a gun doesn't make you any safer, it just means you have a fighting chance to turn a very unlikely terrible situation into one that is merely really, really bad.
Your life most definitely has changed AA. You are now carrying a far greater amount of responsibility. Always keep that in mind.
Keep on trusting in Him.
Your world has definitely not changed, it's just the same as it always was.
Kudos to you for taking accountability for your own safety.
Go walk around Walmart, make a post about it and everything will be back to normal.

"When I get older", eh? Now, that right there is too funny, junior. (And try not to act too quite so high-and-mighty until you brush up on your spelling and grammar.)Its Not Drama,Its reality ,I just realize the Implications and respondsibility Involved ,much like When I'm respondsible for 40-60 Other peoples children everyday, You will too when You get Older and Wiser...Maybe...
I usually go to the safer one in the suburbs opted for the one in the Ghetto beings I was packin'
You DO live there. You just don't recognize the dangers around you.If it takes a weapon in your wasteband to be safer in your neck of the woods, I'm sure glad I don't live there
Unfortunately, as recent events have shown, there are no places that are safe from violence. Homes, offices, schools, stores, malls, wilderness trails, GUN FREE ZONES, hospitals, nursing homes, eateries, churches....you name it.I have a CPL, but I still know enough to shy away from areas where I know carrying is a necessity rather than an option.
If that's the case, then, my apologies, my friend. On face value, though, you must admit that your initial post (heartfelt and sincere though it apparently was) did sound a bit over the top. (And you would understand my response to your second post if you knew my age. )I'll just Pass on a response.I can't brush up though, I have Dyslexia..but to those who understand My sentiments on a heartfelt Thought about a accomplishment, Thank You...
But 1975 was before Mayor Bloomberg "got things straightened out".I must say that in 1975-6 when I started carrying in NYC, it didn't really sink in for a long time. I just put my DS on in a OWB pancake holster and that was it. I never went 1 day without one since.
I used to take my gun to the beach, the pool, everyware I went It went. Since both my bosses carried and were more than happy when I got mine, I never experienced any problem except later, 25 or so years when I sold the buisness, "i had bought", and found that I would be without my gun in a few months.
I knew the fellow who I sold the business to so we left it in my name until I moved to FL. I couldn't give up the right I had for all that time , just because NYC says once you no longer own the business you need to surrender your carry. I saw and knew too much by then to ever live my life unarmed in that city.
